Accommodation and Allowance:


Accommodation is provided by the airline for the first 30 days of your contract.
Thereafter you are responsible for your own accommodation. Our team in China are available to
assist you in finding suitable accommodation.
The airline provides you with accommodation during layover away from operating base/RSP.
Mode CAN Housing Allowance:
Pilots choosing Mode CAN receive a housing allowance of USD 830 per month.
Pilots choosing Mode MOMO receive a housing allowance of USD 650 per month.
RSP Mode Accommodation while on duty in CAN is provided at CSAs crew hotel at no cost. You
may wish to stay at a hotel of your choice but this would be at your cost. Hotels offer discounted rates
to flight crew.
Air Ticket:
Economy class flights provided on the airlines network at the start and end of contract
(including 50kg luggage allowance);
Monthly return commuting flights on CSAs network for CAN/RSP mode jump-seat travel
6 return flights per year for MOMO mode jump-seat travel
Standby economy class tickets on CSAs network for you and your family as follows:
- 1st service year: Up to 6 return tickets (the number is subject to the month you join CSA)
- 2nd service year onwards: 6 return tickets per year.
Duty Ground Transportation:
CSA will provide ground transportation between hotel/accommodation and the airport when on duty
away from operating base/RSP.
Insurances:
AXA Prestige International Medical Plan
Rishworth Aviation will arrange and pay for the cost of this insurance. This insurance includes:
Worldwide medical cover which includes emergency cover in the USA/ Canada (or full cover
available for USA/Canada residents);
GP/Doctor, dental and optical cover; and
Evacuation and repatriation cover.
If your spouse and dependants live with you out of their country of normal residence you can purchase
this insurance for them also at our preferential rates.

Lloyds Income Protection (Personal Accident & Illness Insurance)


This insurance provides weekly payments to help cover lost earnings if you are unable to work
following an accident or an illness. A lump sum payment is also provided in the event of accidental
death. You can purchase this insurance at our preferential rates.
An example of cover provided:
75% of gross weekly earnings up to a maximum of USD2,000 per week for a maximum of 104
weeks (excluding the first 14 days of each claim);
1 x annual salary (up to USD200,000) for accidental loss of life.

Screening Process:
The airline will pay for the costs of you attending screening, including a return economy class air ticket
to Guangzhou on the Airlines network, as well as hotel accommodation, meals, and air/ground
transport within China. The Screening will be completed in 2 Stages, requiring you to visit China on
two occasions. Stage 1 will take approximately 5 days (not including flight time to and from
Guangzhou).
Stage 2 will be a few days shorter. Further visits may be necessary if you cannot get sufficient time off
to complete all elements of Screening in one visit or some items may require additional testing or
updating
Study material for Chinese ATPL exam and Sim Checks will be provided to you prior to the Screening.
Stage 1 involves:
1. Panel Interview (which includes check of all originals of the copy documents you have provided).
2. CAAC (Chinese Civil Aviation Authority) CAAC Medical Check.
3. Chinese ATPL examination.
4. CSA Simulator Check.
Stage 2 involves:
1. CAAC Simulator check.

The following is a guide as to what documents and when these will likely be required, to assist you in
preparing to obtain these. It is indicative only and you will be provided with more details throughout
the application, screening and start on contract process-

Documents required for submission of your Initial Application to China Southern


Please provide copies of the following documents to us as soon as possible, to avoid delaying initial
acceptance of your application:
1. Application Form;
2. Candidate Questionnaire;
3. CV/Resume including flight experience details;
4. Valid ICAO ATPL showing relevant type rating with ICAO English Level 4 or equivalent
If your licence is issued by the Australian, Hong Kong or UK CAA you will need to provide
your consent to the CAA to release the licence information to the CAAC.
5. Valid Medical certificate Class 1;
6. At least the last 6 months of your Logbook showing the date of your last flight as PIC on
relevant aircraft as well as the aircraft you are currently flying;
7. Valid Passport;
8. Passport photos (digital with light blue background);
9. Last SIM Proficiency Check report/s on the relevant type as PIC;
10. Last Line Proficiency Check report/s on the relevant type as PIC;

Documents required after Stage 1 Screening or before joining China Southern


The following documents are required after you have successfully passed the Stage 1
Screening Process. Please provide copies of these documents to us as soon as possible to
ensure you can proceed to Stage 2 of the Screening process:
1. Highest education diploma/certificate;
2. Logbook pages showing last 6 months of flying (including last SIM Check date);
3. Flight Time Certificate issued by your current/last airline confirming your total time, total
PIC time, total time on type (relevant to this position), and PIC time on type at the airline.
4. Certificate of Service from your current/last airline confirming your employment duration,
rank and fleet which can also include in one of separate letters the following:
- Confirmation of any rewards or punishments;
- Confirmation of No Accident/Incident (can also be issued by your CAA);
- Security Evaluation confirming that you have not breached any aviation or airline
regulations;
5. No Criminal Report issued by your nationality country or region/ country/ area of
permanent residence (This report must be notarized in the same country or region. The
No Criminal Report and the notary certificate needs to be authenticated by the Chinese
Embassy/Consulate General in the same country or region and be valid for 6 months.);
6. Safety Record Form signed and completed by your current/last airline; and
7. Training Record - SIM Proficiency and Line Checks of the last 3 years
