Global Commodity Lead Closure Systems April 2014 Present
Responsible for coordinating, leading and directing a global purchasing team of seven members in four regions with
a total annual purchase value of $600 million consisting of door, hood, and decklid latches and associated modules.
In charge of developing a long-term strategy and supplier footprint for a Ford global side door latch with eleven
manufacturing sites in six countries, and a tooling budget of $47 million over five years.
Highlights and Achievements
Sourced under target on eleven new global vehicle programs, consistently delivering improved price levels.
Effectively coordinated with joint venture partners in China and Russia to deliver on-time, below-target sourcing.
Led and supported efforts to recover more than $200 million in global recall cost with limited cash availability.
Coordinated with OGC to identify fungible supplier assets to recover as restitution and settlement for a global
price-fixing scheme.
Tasked with managing global hood, decklid, and side door striker procurement. Developed a linear regression
model to identify price outliers for improved cost opportunities and efficient new product target setting.

Additional Tasks and Projects
Extensive analysis of supplier currency exposure and foreign exchange gain/loss. Developed a 40-page to
accurately estimate the net currency gain for several globally diversified suppliers with at least $1 billion in
annual Ford revenue transacted in up to twelve global currencies. Directly contributed to $200 million in
currency-related clawback efforts across four units within Ford Purchasing.
Tasked to develop a user-friendly template to and visual output to map and analyze diversified suppliers revenue
projection and cost reduction commitments with various sort features throughout the five-year business plan.
Wrote and progressed a new supplier currency exposure policy to reduce exchange risk and increase share of
favorable currency movements while also improving transparency and fairness for suppliers.
Co-led an effort to simplify and commonize electric motor sourcing throughout all new product development.
Created myriad Excel-based templates and calculators to aid and simplify various purchasing initiatives to the
benefit of all purchasing colleagues.

Promoted to Commodity Specialist and wiper systems global commodity strategy lead.

Responsible for the procurement of windshield wiper systems, exterior lighting components, and latch systems on
all Chrysler Group vehicle lines. $350 million annual purchase value.
Expanded the supply base for latch and lighting systems, and consolidated the supply base for wiper system to
achieve an optimal balance of supply competition and fixed cost amortization.
Exceeded net savings goal by 105% in first year.
