The incidence of obesity in Student FKM Undip year 2014-2016 ranged between 14.4% to
21.6% with increasing tendency. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of
nutrition, nutritional intake and sleep duration with the indicator of overweight on female
students of UNDIP FKM year 2014-2016. This study used a cross-sectional design.
Respondents in this study were 100 female students from year 2014-2016 who had IMT
18,5 selected with proportional random sampling. Data was collected by using nutritional
knowledge and sleep duration questionnaire, nutrition prevention method, physical recall,
body fat percentage measurement and waist circumference measurement. Data was
analyze by using Spearman rank correlation test and pearson correlation. The results
showed that 87% of knowledge was good, 64% lack of sleep, 84% TKE less, 92% intake of
excessive saturated fat, 82% intake of unsaturated fat excess, 100% intake of simple
carbohydrates excess, 32% percent body fat in the obese category , 27% IMT> 25, and 81%
normal waist circumference. There was no correlation between TKE (r = -0.108; p = 0.284),
saturated fat intake (r = 0,036; p = 0,721), unsaturated fat intake (r = 0,019, p = 0,721),
simple carbohydrate intake (r = 0,073 ; p = 0.458), and the intake of complex carbohydrates
(r = -0.086; p = 0.396) with nutritional knowledge. There was no correlation between TKE (r
= -0,000; p = 0,987), saturated fat intake (r = -1,111; p = 0,987), unsaturated fat intake (r =
0,033; p = 0,745), simple carbohydrate intake (r = -0.126; p = 0.212), and the intake of
complex carbohydrates (r = -0.096; p = 0.344) with sleep duration. There was a correlation
of TKE (r = -0.3531; p = 0.000) and simple carbohydrate intake (r = 0.321; p = 0.001) with
body fat percent. There was no correlation between saturated fat intake (r = 0.105; p =
0.298), intake of unsaturated fats (r = -0.067; p = 0,511), and intake of complex
carbohydrates (r = 0.054; p = 0,592) with body fat percent. There was a correlation of TKE (r
= -0.313; p = 0.002), saturated fat intake (r = 0.202; p = 0.044) and simple carbohydrate
intake (r = 0.254; p = 0.011) with waist circumference. No correlation of intake of unsaturated
fats (r = -0.112; p = 0.266), and intake of complex carbohydrates (r = 0,054; p = 0,591) with
waist circumference. It is recommended to reduce the consumption of saturated fats and
simple carbohydrates. Choose unprocessed and more whole foods such as vegetables,
fruits, fish, nuts and seeds, and low-fat meat.
