Expression
Blaming is an expression that is used to say on somebody the responsibility for something
done (badly or wrongly) or not done.

Expressions of Blaming Someone :

It was your fault
You are the one to blame
Serves you right

Someone who accused of blamed usually declines it. The following are the responses used
Its not true
It wasnt me
You are wrong, I didnt do it
I 'm not the one to blame

Accusing is an expression when someone said that person did something wrong although
she/he doesnt know the truth, like stealing.

Expression of Accusing Someone :

It must have been you who did it
(pastilah Kamu yang telah melakukannya)
I think youre the only person who could have done it
(saya kira hanya kamulah satu-satunya orang yang bisa mekakukannya)
You must be doing something wrong

Responses of Accusing :
Im sorry. Its my fault
Sorry for my fault
Im sorry for the things. Ive donne
Its my responsibility. Im sorry

Kiki : What happened Lisa?

Kiki : It wasnt me. I didnt do that.

Kiki : Huh! How dare youre. I never do that suck things.
Lisa : Yeah, but my friends had seen you out of my classroom. It must be you stealing
my money.
Kiki : Prove it, how dare you just accuse and blame me without clear evidence. I will
pay your money
if you can prove that suck things!
Lisa : Ok, I will prove that!
Kiki : I will wait for that!

Dede : Kiki, stop right now?
Kiki : What?
Dede : Did you steal my handphone?
Kiki : No, I do not do that!
Dede : Seriously? But everybody in the class say that must be you! It was your fault Kiki!
Kiki : What? I never do that! Seriously! Youre such as a lier!! I hate you!
Dede : Huh! How could you run away from all this, and pretended not to know!
Kiki : You do not talk nonsense, prove it Dede!!
Dede : Huh! Sure I will.

Dialog Menyalahkan Orang Lain (Blaming)

Bagaimana cara mengungkapkan sesuatu dengan maksud menyalahkan orang lain
menggunakan Bahasa Inggris? Simak caranya lewat dialog berikut ini.

Jacky: Hi, Jenny. You look so angry. What happened?

Jenny: I'm angry at John.
Jacky: Why are you angry at him?
Jenny. He broke my book. No doubt, It must be him
Jacky: Really? How do you know that it's his mistake?
Jenny: He borrowed my book last week. Yesterday he returned it. But, unfortunetely I
wasn't at home.
Jacky: Then?
Jenny: He left it to my brother. I found the cover was broken. It must be John broken it.
Jacky: OK. I see it. But, I think you don't have to blame him.
Jenny: Why do you think so?
 Jacky: I know John very well. He's kind of a very responsible man. If he makes mistake,
He'll admit that.
Jenny: Maybe. But... Wait, my phone is ringing. There is a message from John.
Jacky: What does it say?
Jenny: It says "Sorry, Jenny. I broke your book. I have told your brother about that. Now I
have bought a book to change yours. Can I meet you this afternoon?" Oh My God! He's bought
a book for me.
Jacky: That's John. He is a responsible man.
Jenny: Yea. He's a good guy.

Kalimat yang digarisbawahi dalam dialog di atas adalah ekspres yang digunakan untuk
menyalahkan orang lain (blaming). Kalimat tersebut digunakan untuk menjustifikasi
kesalahan orang lain.

Kita bisa mengungkapan ekspresi menyalahkan dalam Bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan
kalimat-kalimat berikut ini:
It must be him to blame.
He's the one to blame.
You're the one to blame.
I blame it that ...

Who Is Wet The Bed?

One day, Pande, Radit and Tri doing homework in Radits home. They do it untill 10 Pm. At
least, Pande and Tri decided to spend the night at Radits home. They sleep in one bed. At
6 Pm, they wake up. Tri go to bathroom. They are prepare to go to school.
Radit : Look! Why is my bed wet?
Pande : What? Maybe someone has wet the bed
Radit : Who?
Pande : Maybe tri has done it. Before go to sleep he hasnt urine
Radit : Ask him please!
Suddenly, Tri come. He hear Pande and Radit so noisy
Tri : Hey, what happened. I hear you are so noisy
Radit : My bed is wet, it must be among us has done it
Pande : Tri, you must be the doer!!!
Tri : What? You are wrong, I didnt do it
Pande : Yesterday before go to sleep, you havent urine. So it must be you!!!
Tri : Im not lie, I never wet the bed
Radit : And then? Who has done it? Pande, why is your pant wet?
Tri : Oh it is very bad smells
Pande : Im sorry, at night, I want to go to bath room, but this room is dark. I was feared to
go. I know it was my fault
Radit : We give you apologize, but just dont do it again
Tri : Radit is right. Dont do it again
Pande : Thank you so much, I swear Ill never do it again

Terjemahannya
Siapa yang kencing di Tempat Tidur?
Suatu hari, Pande, Radit dan Tri mengerjakan PR di rumah Radit ini. Mereka melakukannya
sampai 10:00. Kemudian, Pande dan Tri memutuskan untuk menghabiskan malam di
rumah Radit ini. Mereka tidur di satu tempat tidur. Pada 06:00, mereka bangun. Tri pergi ke
kamar mandi. Mereka mempersiapkan diri untuk pergi ke sekolah.
Radit : Lihatlah! Mengapa tempat tidurku basah?
Pande : Apa? Mungkin seseorang mengompol
Radit : Siapa?
Pande : Mungkin tri telah melakukannya. Sebelum pergi tidur dia belum kencing
Radit : Tanyakan padanya !
Tiba-tiba, Tri datang. Dia mendengar Pande dan Radit sangat berisik
Tri : Hei, apa yang terjadi. Saya mendengar Anda begitu berisik
Radit : Tempat tidur saya basah, itu harus di antara kita telah melakukannya
Pande : Tri, Anda pasti pelakunya !!!
Tri : Apa? Anda salah, saya Tidak melakukannya
Pande : Kemarin sebelum pergi tidur, Anda Tidak kencing. Jadi, itu pasti Anda !!!
Tri : Aku tidak berbohong, aku tidak pernah mengompol
Radit : Lalu? Siapa yang melakukannya? Pande, mengapa celana Anda basah?
Tri : Oh ... itu adalah bau yang sangat buruk
Pande : Maafkan aku, pada malam hari, saya ingin pergi ke kamar mandi, tapi
ruangannya gelap. Aku takut untuk pergi. Aku tahu itu adalah kesalahan saya
Radit : Kami memberikan maaf, tapi hanya tidak melakukannya lagi
Tri : Radit benar. Jangan lakukan itu lagi
Pande : Terima kasih banyak, aku bersumpah aku tidak akan pernah melakukannya lagi
