Consequences of Climate Change

The communitys ecological adaptations have led to a rise in global temperature. The rise

in temperature is known as global warming. Global warming has numerous outcomes such as

climate change that can change a whole ecological system. As the community continues to adapt

and develop, more fossil fuels and energy is used. The rise of resources being used increases the

amount of pollution being developed. This would eventually lead to long term effects and short

term. The short-term effect of this in non-notable. The long-term effect is where the damage will

begin to rise.

With increasing temperatures and pollution, climate change has high risk factors. Oort

and Vander Haar (1976) mapped and example of the increase in atmospheric heat (Pg.86).

Atmospheric heat is caused by toxins in the air and carbon productions by emissions and

industries. From the map shown in Oort and Haar it can be verified how the rise in temperature

affects all ecological societys and communities. All regions of communities have different

climate changes due to their location. The amount of problems climate change has inflicted can

be seen with foreign ancestors and the abandon cities they have left behind. These can be taken

into consideration and be exampled of.

Considering not all areas of the world are the same, the amount of effect climate change

has in this community is certain, only due to the location it resides on. The closer to the equator,

the hotter temperatures are to be. The closer to either the north or south pole the location is

colder. Burroughs (1997) explains how this latitude and longitude effects have been around since

more than 10,000 years ago, which show the magnitude of climate changes on certain locations

(pg.105). This community stands in a desert area closer to the equator. The experience of

climate change has not been drastic around the community. As the community activity rises, so

will its pollutes in the air. Although this used to be certain by scientist, the question has been

now brought upon how climate change is negative.

As the community continues to function on a daily basis, there actions and daily

practices have a cause as to how climate change gets affected. There are numerous locations

within the community that provide proof as to the traits that are practices within the community.

Most affecting the environment. I. M Budyko (1982) states how mans activity has affected

climate change as a whole (pg. 2). The outcome of these climate changes can affect the

community as one as it can suddenly become unadaptable for the community. This then brings

on the new challenges of adaptation towards climate change.

Climate change has been around forever. In the 1960s pre-recorded weather data started

to be introduced more accurately. This data would show a consistency in weather patterns,

according to records. Pre-recorder data in Budykos study, with three significant man activities

that have underlined the main problem in climate change. These effects are an increase in CO2,

production of energy for use of man and aerosol concentration changes (pg. 3). All have been man

made problems due to ecological system adjustments and settlements. If the scale of these three

increases in a short period of time, long term negative climate effects will take place much sooner.

Due to the many problems this can bring. CO2 of all three is considered at most risk. As the

community population rises, the demand in use of fossil fuels will increase as well. This will then

lead to climate problems and create new problems.

An increase of CO2 has been alternatively placed as most important. The impact CO2 can

have in the community can be catastrophic. CO2 also known as carbon can lead to many losses

such as energy supply, health, food production, water supply and adaptation problems because of

the rise in temperature. William W.Kellog and Robert Shware (1981) have provided a diagram,

illustrating exactly how the increase of carbon gasses lead to world temperature increase (11.2 pg.

36). Temperature increase can be the deadliest problem the ecological system can face. The

continues increase of CO2 causes this community to have higher temperature weather, with shorter

periods of winter. CO2 is a mixture of emission gasses along with other elements, heat is trapped

within these toxins in the air. These trapped heat is what leads the rise in temperature.

Climate Change and Society

As mentioned before, temperature changes carry a numerous of problems. This then

becomes a second chain reaction on health in the community due to these problems. Health being

a big risk factor in the community due to disease, food supply and interval revolt. As the weather

begins to proceed with changes, health facilitys get impacted with trying to control new uprising

diseases as well as managing new medicinal practices for these outcomes. Community practices

can have a huge impact on the surrounding environment. Roxie M. Black and Shirley A. Wells

(2007) show how cultural practices have an impact on human development. They state that

human behavior results from socialization (pg.22). If the community decides to make cultural or

environmental changes, positive impacts will develop as our surrounding areas would be much

cleaner. Changes will depend on the communities and actions they take.

The lack of environmental change by the community has cause a rise in health concerns

within this community. A small example of a concern this community faced was with the spread

of the influenza virus. Influenza virus is carried by mosquitos. The initiation of this virus begins

with the atmospheric changes which cause mosquitos to adopt to new locations. An unfortunate

candidate in the community was bitten by a virus carrying mosquito which contaminated him. If

the initial atmospheric changes would not have been initiated, the adaption of the mosquitos

would have not occurred, thus preventing the person being bitten. A virus can be catastrophic in

a community because of its contiguousness. Lippincott Williams & Wilkings (2008) explain how

a virus like influenza can destroy a community due to its health effects (pg.310). If no change

can be brought upon cleaning the streets in the community. Changes in both ecological and

health will intensify within. Travis N Rieder (2016) confirms that as long as the community

continues to practice bad habits intensifying toxic waste. The changes in atmospheric will

continue thus insulting the many concerns of climate change (pg.4)

Depending on the community, solutions to these problems have already been brought

upon with recycling and the change in renewable resources. The concern would mainly be if the

community took initiation to clean up its own streets. As well as providing help and support in

order for the researchers and scientist to work as one to promote a better-quality environment for

the community. In initiation, an influence in the surrounding communities might occur, creating

a chain reaction for a better environment to all.
