Introduction
1.1 Description There are two different design variants of the silencer with
baffles. Take the used design variant (KS3 or KS4) from the
fan data sheet.
Design variant 3 for clean, dry and dust-free air:
housing material: steel sheet
stiffening: beads or flat steel
baffles:
- fixed in the housing with channel sections
- covered with perforated plate
- baffle filling with mineral wool
- optional foil cover for insulation wool
1.2 Intended use The silencer with baffles is designed, calculated, produced,
tested and delivered in accordance with the design condi-

fan maintenance as well as during plant shutdowns
and clean them, if necessary.
