Birth control basically means preventing pregnancy.
It could be done by stopping the production of eggs,
stopping the sperms from reaching and fertilising the
ovum and also stopping the implantation of the
embryo in the uterus.
On the other hand, there are several ways for the
couples to prevents pregnancy as follows and we will
start with females prevention first.
Contraceptive pills
This method called as Contraceptive pills.
These pills is actually contain a combination of
hormones which prevents the production of ova.
Well these are taken by a woman every single
day, for 21 days after their menstruation.
Further more, this pills is 100% reliable if they
follows the doctors instruction correctly.
We should take note that this pills also has some
side effects
Intrauterine contraceptive device
(IUCD)
Next will be intrauterine device (IUD).
The device look like a plastic or copper wire coil
where it fitted inside the uterus and can be left
inside for 2-3 years.
This device will prevents sperms from swimming
up the uterus.
But it can be removed for those who wants to get
pregant.
All these process should be done by a doctor.
The rhythm method (natural method)
Besides that, the rhythm or natural method also will
prevents pregnancy.
This method used by those who are believe that other
contraceptive method or birth control are wrong. Some
also believed that its against their religion.
So, they will avoid having intercourse during fertile
period because an egg is most likely to be present in
the oviduct.
But, there is disadvantage in this method where it will
not be effective method for women with irregular
cycle.
Ligation
We can called it as Tubal litigation.
This method involves more complicated surgery
than a vasectomy.
Like a vasectomy, it is irreversible and usually
carried out on a woman who does not want any
more children.
Lets look at the process. Well the middle parts of
the oviducts are cut and the open ends are
clipped or tied to stops the released ovum from
getting into the oviduct.

sheath and worn over the mans erect penis before
intercourse to prevent sperms from entering the vagina
of the woman.
Many people are using condoms because it helps them
to prevent infections of sexually transmitted disease
such as AIDS. Not only that, it is reliable and easy to
obtain anywhere and easy to use.
Spermicides
These are chemical substances in the form of
foams, jellies or creams.
Spermicides helps to kill sperms that are
released into the womans body.
Even though, it sounds good but it will not be
effective on its own and it must be used with
other methods such as condoms or
diaphragm.
Vasectomy
This method is also known as male
sterilisation and it requires minor surgery.
The sperm ducts will cut and then tied to
prevent the sperms travelling from the testis
