EXPERIENCE

DIRECTOR, BELLE FOURCHE HIGH SCHOOL, SD, 2010-2012
Myself and a co-director were responsible for mounting three full-
scale high school theatre productions each school year; a fall play, a
one-act selection to compete in the state one-act festival, and a
spring musical. We were responsible for everything from play
selection to casting, lighting, sound, set design and construction,
costume design and construction, choreography, makeup
application and everything in between with the exception of music
directing, which was done by the high school choral director. Our
cast sizes ranged from fifteen to fifty.
SERVER, MINNEHAHA COUNTRY CLUB, SIOUX FALLS, 2017-PRESENT
The country club provides a flexible full time work environment for
me as I continue my studies at South Dakota State University post
graduation to obtain a South Dakota Teaching Certificate for
secondary instruction in speech and theatre. I provide members of
the club service in our dining area and on the golf course when
weather permits.
TOUR ACTOR/DIRECTOR, MISSOULA CHILDRENS THEATRE 2007-2009
This non-profit national touring company, based out of Montana,
sends tour actors (TADS) out on the road in pairs outfitted with a
company pickup containing all necessary materials to put on a
production. (In my case, this was The Little Mermaid.) In each new
town, we cast 50-70 local K-12 students in a full-scale production.
Over the course of six days, the play is rehearsed and ultimately
performed for the local community, all while imparting character
building and life skills to cast members such as responsibility,
teamwork, self-esteem, and respect. In addition, we would also go
to local schools and and put on a variety of workshops.
MENTOR, TEAMMATES, BLACK HILLS STATE UNIVERSITY 2010-2012
This volunteer mentorship position is oered to Black Hills State
University students pursuing careers in education. The program
pairs up each University student to a local K-5 elementary student
whom they spend one hour a week with in a one-on-one
environment at the mentees elementary school.
