knowledge of a researching social scientist able to consult sound professional experiences gained
from leadership in international political-economic spheres. As the ideal candidate for this

missions embedded with the Multi-National Coalitional efforts of Operation Iraqi Freedom to
Vice Dean of Distance Learning Operations with the U.S. Air Forces Premier Leadership and
Intellectual Center of Excellence, present your desired traits and talents.
At the intersection of business activity and government regulation in the modern
international political economy lies a dimension of intertwined cultures. Multiple entrances from
the world-wide superhighway invite clash, merging less than seamlessly in often unsustainable
resource-meager environments. My work, conducted as a consultant in international cultural
studies, indicates success followed by excellence is bound where these high-energy intersects
occur in specific non-market environments respecting corporate citizenship in versed trappings
of the international political economy.
Leadership and management in such environs is fraught with ethical dilemmas, perhaps
constructed under nuance of well-intentioned governmental regulation. Decades of leadership
experience in exceedingly complex international security environments have produced an
intricate understanding of the compromises required for excellence where business hubs border,
and often chaff, against large-scale government-regulated operations. A perfect scenario for
marrying technological innovations of multi-national commercial business practices with the
high inertia and well-established practices of international-coalitional public sector hybrid
organizations.
Much of my experience in such surroundings was gleaned from leading international
missions executed by coalitional government organizations working cooperatively with multi-
conglomerate international businesses under the auspices of United Nations directors. Such
missions are well illustrated in sophisticated convoy-transport networks ferrying medical
equipment and supplies into Kurdish villages in Northern Iraq, or supply replenishment lines
sustained during sanitary public sewage installation and repair in no-mans land Syrian or
Iranian border villages in unpredictable, often hostile environments.
The field of international political economy is currently abounding with these such
environments, many of which are already familiar and complement personal experience and
desired research angles. Recent natural disasters are proving taxing to already overburdened
public safety networks and public health-care structural circuitry worldwide. Research into
rapid, secure logistical streams, whose sustainability is bolstered if not guaranteed by
international commercial socially-responsible corporations, delivering safe and reliable products
for all requirements and necessities in all types of environments is badly needed right now.
These type of complex situations and potentially chaotic environments have potential of
becoming more the norm than continuing as the exception. My future research agenda will be
built around emerging leadership opportunities presenting in the international arena being
subsumed by responsible commercial businesses of a new corporate conscience fueling a new
sphere of international political economy. These paths are being cut and streams are being
forded through demonstrated performance of principled resource allocation and ethical decision
making. This is the beginning of the new core of 21st century political economy in the
international sphere. And research led and conducted by the Business, Government & Society
Department in the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin will lead
this organization, this state, and this nation to the forefront of this new research arena, beginning
with my tenure in this position at this time.
