Writers Workshop 2: The Arabian Peninsula

People throughout history have been affected by environmental

conditions. Therefore, the way people live is influenced by geography
and climate. Possible examples of differences affected by climate and
geography are clothing, heating/cooling methods, housing and
transportation.

People that have lived on the Arabian Peninsula without a doubt

have been greatly influenced by its desert climate. The arid desert
climate has had an influence on things like culture, job opportunities,
housing, location and resources. You will be writing about these
influences in this Writers Workshop.

Directions:

Write a two-three well-structured paragraph essay

describing how the desert climate of the Arabian Peninsula
influenced the life of the people during the time of Muhammad.
Identify and discuss three ways that the desert climate had an
affect on the lives of the people and what solutions people
uncovered to cope with the harsh conditions.

go searching online for information.
