Quick and Easy Christmas Ornament

Materials
head and body: scraps of yarn (colors: white, red,
yellow, light and dark blue), suitable for 2,5 mm
hook
wings: very thin yarn white, thin golden thread

Abbreviations
sc single crochet
dc double crochet
ch chain
st stitch
inc increase
dec decrease by crocheting two stitches
together

Head White yarn 1) 2 ch, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook


In a 2) inc every st = 12 sc
spiral 3) inc every 3rd st = 16 sc
4) 6) 16 sc
7) *2 sc, dec* repeat from * 3 times = 12 sc
8) dec 6 times = 6 sc
Gown Change color 9) 6 sc
In a 10) inc every 2nd st = 9 sc
spiral 11) inc every 3rd st = 12 sc
12) inc every 2nd st = 18 sc
13) inc every 3th st = 24 sc
14) inc every 4th st = 30 sc
15) 17) 30 sc
18) inc every 5th st = 36 sc
19) 23) 36 sc
Finish off.
Twitch skirt into folds and sew them into place (easiest way is to draw a
yarn through the inner folds at about half the length of the gown and
knot it securely).
Wings Thin white yarn 1) 2 ch, 6 sc in 2nd chain from hook, do NOT close circle, 2 ch, turn
and golden 2) 2 dc into each sc, 2 ch, turn = 12 dc
thread together 3) 2 dc into each dc, 2 ch, turn = 24 dc
4) *inc sc, sc* repeat from * 10 times, inc sc, 3 sc into last sc, crochet
over open segment of circle, sc into first dc from last row.
Finish off and attach wings to back of figure.
Add a bit of golden thread to the head, so you can hang the figure into
your Christmas tree.
