Class Act Books Launches Epic Fantasy Saga

Port Townsend, WA, December 18, 2017 --(PR.com)-- In 1982, a fledgling writer named Toni V.
Sweeney began work on her first fantasy novel. The next year at a Sci-Fi convention in Kearney,
Nebraska, she was advised by well-known science fiction/fantasy author George R.R. Martin to Keep
your steam up. She went on to finish the novel in what would later become the initial entry of the epic
fantasy series, The Arcanian Chronicles.

As author Sweeney explains it, Mr. Martin's encouragement helped me complete that first story.

The 15-book series is divided into two parts and two eras, the Past and the Future. There are seven novels
in Part 1 and eight novels in Part 2. Part 1, The Narrative of Riven the Heretic, traces the beginnings of
the kan Ingan family's struggle to claim the throne of Francovia after the gods prophesy that a 16-year-old
barbarian boy will one day be the father of kings. Book 1, The Man from Cymene sets the stage for the
series.

Part 2, The kan Ingan Archives, picks up the story three thousand years later with the tale of Aric kan
Ingan, one of Riven's descendants. Raised as heir apparent to the Arcanian throne, Aric's affair with his
uncle's wife leads to his exile and brings about the fulfillment of the rest of the prophecy.

In its original form, The Man from Cymene was published in 2006. The Class Act Books edition of July,
2017, has been revised and edited with new, more in-depth additions. The series also includes four
never-before-published novels. The latest entry, Barbarian Blood Royal, was released December 15.

Since the publication of her first novel in 1989, Toni V. Sweeney divides her time between writing
SF/Fantasy under her own name and romances under the pseudonym Icy Snow Blackstone. As of 2017,
she currently has 63 novels in print. The Arcanian Chronicles is her fifth series.

With a flair for description and creatively original plots, Toni has won numerous awards for her novels.
Of the The Arcanian Chronicles, The Man from Cymene was named one of the Top Ten in SF/Fantasy
for 2012 by Preditors & Editors Readers Poll; Space Studs was given a Reviewers Choice award by
Paranormal Romance Guild in 2013, and Exile earned a Top Eight in SF/Fantasy award from PRG in
2014.

Her futuristic fantasy Earthman's Bride, written as Icy Snow Blackstone, won 1st Place in the 2008
Maryland Romance Writers Award for SF/Fantasy; a contemporary romance, Jericho Road was awarded
8th place in the 1997 National Writers Association Novel-writing Contest, as well as being voted one of
the top 8 novels of 2012 in SF/Fantasy by Paranormal Romance Guild's Reviewers Choice; Tuesday's
Child was named #1 in Contemporary Romance for 2012 by the Paranormal Romance Guild. A novel
from her last series, Sinbad's Last Voyage (Book 2 of the Adventures of Sinbad), garnered 3rd place in
the Critique Your Novel 2013 Novel Writing Contest.
