Activity
Description
following
guidelines
for
task
analysis.
How
will
you
explain
to
your
participants
how
the
activity
will
go?
1.
Choose
a
person
to
be
the
shark
2.
Have
everyone
else
line
up
on
one
side
of
the
room.
The
people
lined
up
are
the
minnows
3.
The
shark
stands
in
the
middle
of
the
room.
4.
Next
the
shark
says
Minnow,
minnows
cross
my
ocean.
5.
At
this
time
the
minnows
can
start
walking
to
the
other
side.
The
shark
must
remain
still.
6.
When
the
shark
says
Shark
attack
it
is
okay
for
the
minnows
to
start
running
and
for
the
shark
to
try
and
tag
the
minnows.
The
shark
can
decide
to
say
this
whenever
it
wants
to.
7.
If
the
minnow
makes
it
to
the
other
side
the
shark
can
no
longer
tag
them.
The
minnows
that
were
tagged
are
now
going
to
be
sharks
when
the
minnows
that
were
not
tagged
cross
back
over.
8.
Now
the
minnows
have
to
cross
back
to
the
other
side
with
more
than
one
shark
coming
after
them.
9
The
game
continues
this
way
until
all
the
minnows
become
sharks.
The
last
minnow
that
is
left
gets
to
be
the
starting
shark
in
the
next
round.

adaptation
specific
to
a
disability
group.
Be
specific.
For
example,
saying
someone
has
anger
issues
is
not
a
disorder.
However,
a
person
with
anger
issues
might
be
diagnosed
with
conduct
disorder.
You
may
not
use
a
particular
disability
or
disorder
more
than
one
time.
Sharks and minnows is a game that is played in schools and camps to get
people physically active and have fun with their peers.
This
game
can
be
adapted
for
people
who
are
blind/visually
impaired.
One
way
to
adapt
it
is
to
have
the
shark
make
a
humming
noise.
If
the
minnows
are
quiet,
it
will
allow
the
person
with
the
vision
impairment
to
hear
where
the
shark
is.
The
person
who
is
visually
impaired
can
also
choose
a
trusted
friend
to
be
their
guide.
People
who
are
visually
impaired
usually
run
with
a
guide.
The
guides
job
is
to
tell
them
where
the
other
players
are
so
that
they
dont
run
into
them.
When
a
person
guides
someone
with
a
vision
impairment
they
have
the
person
hold
onto
their
elbow
so
that
they
can
guide
them
and
are
in
ears
reach
so
that
they
can
tell
if
there
is
an
obstacle
coming.
The
person
can
still
be
mostly
independent
because
they
can
hear
the
shark
and
are
being
told
where
other
people
are
so
that
they
can
safely
get
to
the
other
side.
If
a
person
that
is
visually
impaired
gets
tagged
and
then
becomes
a
shark,
then
the
players
have
to
make
noise
so
that
they
can
hear
where
they
are.
They
can
work
together
with
one
of
the
other
sharks
and
have
them
help
guide
them.
Adapting
this
game
to
the
visually
impaired
will
make
them
feel
more
included
and
get
them
the
physical
exercise
that
every
person
needs.
