A snapshot of Lilys day.

Welcome Lily this was your first week at An Nur and it has been a fun filled week. I notice you
have quickly made lots of new friends. Today you chose to play in the sandpit, building
sandcastles and chatting away to yourself then Rayan came over and sat beside you. look this
is treasure, do you want to help me look for the treasure? Rayan asked showing you a small
cone shaped shell. With a quick OK you joined him in a treasure hunt, looking for shells deep
in the sand. Once you had finished your treasure hunt you tried climbing up on the box but
got a little stuck so Rahma came over and gave you a leg up, once on top of the box more friends
joined you and you sung twinkle twinkle little star stretching your hands up towards the sky,
trying to catch the clouds. Next it was onto the train rocker with Salma and Rahma, watching
Samira and Bushra playing pat a cake, pat a cake. You have made some good friends Lily and
the children are always excited to see you Tino pai.

Belonging / Mana Whenua: All children need to know that they are accepted for who they
are and that they can make a difference. Feeling they belong contributes to their well-being
and gives them the confidence to try new experiences.
