Manager – IT Projects Job Code: MGR-IT/1001/DOH/2010

Be the key person responsible for delivery of IT projects & solutions to the assigned business units of Qatar Airways. Contribute to the IT
work programme planning for these business units.
Incumbent is expected to have good understanding of business domain and hands-on experience in managing software development as well
as package implementation. The candidate will be required to manage project teams in on-site/offshore models.
Qualifications/Experience
• Degree in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Sciences/ Commerce with 6-8 years of specialized technical experience, ideally
within a project based IT environment. Minimum of 3 years as senior resource in IT projects.
• Good understanding of SDLC processes, business analysis, project management tools and problem solving.
• Having good competence in customer service, team leadership, organising and planning
• Experience in the Airline industry IT applications with exposure to one or more of the domains such as Airline Passenger systems, Cargo,
Flight Operations, Airports, Engineering maintenance, HR, Finance, etc. will be preferred.

Senior Software Engineer / Software Engineer Job Code: SSE-SE/1002/DOH/2010

The selected candidate would play a key role in the development and support of airline and airport applications by undertaking different roles
based on needs. Activities may involve requirements gathering, software design, development, testing, project mgmt, quality assurance and
support.
Qualifications/Experience
• Degree in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Sciences/ Commerce with at least 5-7 Years experience in Application software
design and development preferably in large applications for Sr. Software Engineers and 3-5 yrs. of experience for Software Engineers
• Good understanding of SDLC processes, client/server, web development, data warehouses, etc.
• The applicant should also have good planning, organizing and communication skills
• Candidate must have strong hands-on experience in one or more technologies such as .Net, PL/SQL, Oracle ERP, Oracle databases,J2EE,
Business Objects, etc.
• Experience in an Airline, Airports or Travel industry IT applications will be added advantage

Asst Software Engineer Job Code: ASE/1003/DOH/2010

The candidate would be responsible to develop and support software, based on the design specifications provided by the software engineer.
The incumbent would require to support the team in creating the project related collaboration environments
Qualification/Experience:
• Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Science / Commerce
• Should have at least 0-3 years in software development and maintenance
• Good understanding of programming Languages and data structures.
• Expertise in at least one of the QR standard technologies.

Senior Network Engineer Job Code: SNE/1004/DOH/2010

The selected candidate would be responsible to install, maintain and support User-end devices such as Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Data
and Voice Networks, etc., ensuring quality service is provided to the business units. To perform System Administration on Unix, Linux and
Windows Operating Systems. Activities may also involve proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of User-end devices, planning
infrastructure changes and implementing them.
Qualifications/Experience
• Graduate in Computers/Engineering/Diploma or equivalent
• Certification Course in CCNA/CCNP/MCP or MCSE
• 4 to 5 years experience in Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Cisco Products such as Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Load balancers and IPS/IDS
• 4 to 5 years experience in Windows, Linux and Unix Operating Systems

NOC Engineer Job Code: NOC/1005/DOH/2010

The successful candidate will be responsible for pro-active monitoring and trouble shooting of Systems and Networks round the clock.
Ensure quality service is provided to the business units, respond to Incidents and Problems. Activities may involve in appropriate remedial
actions to be taken in case of system failure. Ensuring the data centre procedures are updated as and when required
Qualifications/Experience
• Graduate in Computer Science from a recognized university
• 2 years experience in a Network Operation Centre or similar environments,
• Airline systems experience will be an added advantage
• Must have an excellent understanding of all technologies that support the production services
• Operational knowledge Windows, HPUX, Solaris, AIX, Lotus, Linux, Citrix and Networks
