Abstract
Dropping out of school is seen as a predicate for adolescents who are not able to
completed an educational level, by dropping out of schools can be a burden for
adolescents who experience it. Life problems are often perceived as a pressing
problem that can lead to emotional disorders which affecting on well-being in
adolescents. The purpose of the present paper is to show well-being which
conceptualized as psychological well-being in adolescent school dropout as well as
to verify the correlation to sense of humor, resilience and identity status. This study
is a population study in Barehsos Wira Adhi Karya Ungaran involving 53 subjects.
First major hypothesis results indicate theres significant correlation between sense
of humor, resilience with psychological well-being in adolescents school dropout
Ft= 3.376, p=0,042 (<0.05), which mean the first major hypothesis in this study is
proven, with the proportion of variance of psychological well-being which can be
explained by a sense of humor and resilience a number of 11.9%. First minor
hypothesis results found no significant correlation between sense of humor with
psychological well-being in adolescents school dropouts p=0,111(>0,05), which
means first minor hypothesis is not proven. While the second minor hypothesis,
results found significant and positive correlation between resilience with
psychological well-being p=0,006(>0,05) its mean second minor hypothesis is
proven. Furthermore, the second major hypothesis results indicated no significant
differences psychological well-being based on identity status Ft = 2.934, p=
0,001(<0.05), which means the second major hypothesis is proven. From post hoc
test with LSD analysis indicated, significant differences psychological well-being
between adolescents school dropouts who has identity achievement with
foreclosure (MD = 10.933) and achievement with diffusion (MD = 12.156).
