PART I. INTRODUCTION
Educational tours are learning experiences outside the
classroom. These tours supplement classroom learning by providing
students with an opportunity to see the actual places, artifacts,
flora and fauna, or phenomena that are described in textbooks and
lectures. Through Educational Tour, students actually see and
enrich their knowledge of places and works of art they've learned
about in the classroom.
It is significant for students because we cannot learn all of
the topic and sometimes what have thought by our teachers in the
four corners of the rooms are not enough to say that you are fully
knowledgeable. Hence, you need to join in this educational tour to
explore more especially to witness the actual duties of the
different law enforcement agencies.

PART II. ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN

and on how they command them to stay, to sit and to detect
a certain explosives and narcotics.

PART III. LEARNED INSIGHTS

 I learned in Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) that

they are very strict particularly at highway patrol. I also
learned that the SBMA Chairman, the Administrator and the
members of the Board of Directors are appointed by the
President to serve for a term of six years. In addition, I
learned that the K9 dogs are very brilliant. Hence, some of
them have weaknesses in smelling. Some of the dogs were not
easily identifies the narcotics and explosives. I learned at
fire department that you must wear your bunker gear for
atleast one minute because sluggish are not tolerated. The
fire suppression team must be there as soon as possible.
 I learned in Camp Crame the history of PNP and their different
medals that was being awarded to those police officers from
the time of Philippine Constabulary to Philippine National
Police. I also learned at their Crime Laboratory their
different functions especially in the Fingerprint
Identification Division, their methods of comparing
fingerprint are now high-technology-computer. This makes the
examiners fast to perform his duty. But this computer don’t
shows the result if the fingerprints saved at their data and
found at the crime scene are alike rather it only searched
the nearly possible alike of this fingerprint, the examiner
still have to go over to count the ridges.
 I learned in National Bilibid Prison that not all person in
jail are bad. Sometimes there are person that was only framed
up. I also learned that there are still reformation program
undertaken especially for CICL. There are schools inside for
them to continue their studies. In addition, they were trained
to make different crafts to earn money even they’re inside
the jail.
 I learned in PNPA that they are snappy in terms of their
stand, walk and also in talk. I learned that they came from
many examinations and trainings. I also learned that at about
300,000 applicants only few are chosen to enter the academy.
 I learned in PNP-SAF that they undergone different trainings
and it took them two years to become a regular commandos. I
learned that in every team, they have different designations
like radio-man and sniper. I also learned that there is buddy-
system and one of their trainings that impress me is their
camouflaging.

PART IV. OBSERVATIONS

1. I observed in Subic that there are only few vehicles pass-
by. Their patrol unit are very strict regarding the policies
of highway especially the pedestrian should only walk to the
pedestrian lane when they are going to cross.
2. I observed in K9 Unit that dogs are being care by their
trainer and every accomplishment of the dogs there is a
corresponding reward to them.
3. I observed in 911-Fire Department that the fire officers must
be quick in wearing their bunker gear because they must
arrived in the burning area as soon as possible.
4. I observed in Camp Crame that some of their personnel are not
approachable. We are asking them questions and they also ask
back to us.
5. I observed in National Bilibid Prison especially in Child in
Conflict with the Law that they have different talents. But
what I noticed was they committed heinous crimes at their
young age. Some of them committed rape and murder.
PART V. RECOMMENDATIONS
1. I recommend for the tour agency to improve their service
especially when other students are lost and they don’t know
where their companion are.
2. I recommend for the personnel of Camp Crame to be more
approachable when the students are asking questions.
3. I recommend for the K9 Unit to produce more K9 dogs because
they are very helpful in detecting narcotics and explosives.
4. I recommend for the Inmate of CICL to continue rehabilitate
themselves so that they will still accept from the community.
5. I recommend for the School of Criminology to continue to
implement this kind of educational tour because it very
important for the next batch to also witness the duties and
function of the different law enforcement agencies.
