Project Description

The proposed system which is “Restaurant Management System for Kainan Sa Balanghay” is a
tool that takes care of the logistics. The system is for those people who work and wishes to do
business with the restaurant. This system is one of our ongoing projects for doing the logistics
that are done in the restaurant. Sales staff can use this system at ease in a way that they can
accommodate and serve a lot of people who want to avail their services such as catering and
banquet designing services. This system will also help the customers who want to inquire on
what services they offer and the prices as well. The proposed system will help both the
customers and staff in organizing an event and would be able satisfy all of the customers’
needs.
Measurable Organizational Value

The proposed system will be vital to the company’s growth as it will open the door to modern
restaurant management. It will also be important as it will definitely help the customers and the
company in the process of setting up an event. The process of the proposed system will help
the company by providing accurate reports regarding updates of the meetings and in handling
the completed meetings planned by the company to know what can be done better. This system
will also serve as their database for every transaction that they make with the customer so that
they can track they expenses.

Project Scope

All processes regarding the business operation of the company such as inquiry, registration,
request for service, storing information like customers’ information, payment history, service
requests, and provide references for every transaction to be made with this company. The
proposed system is an application that will be used by people who are seeking for assistance.
The system can also serve as a database for all the services catered for an event that was
being planned / arranged by the client.

Assumptions and Risks

This proposed system will mainly focus on the planning stage of the event. The reservation can
be done through the website or be made personally on the restaurant. The payments that are to
be made online or personally will be automatically recorded to the request folder on the system
and will be pasted as well on the customer folder. The proposed system will also let the
customers be informed of what is happening to the request through text or email that is
registered in their profile. The system will be limited in serving customers what they need on
keeping them updated on what is happening to their request. Also, this system will serve as
their database for everything that needs to be recorded for reports and future purposes.
