Complete Description:
The Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV) is seeking a contractor to provide GIS and
data analysis support on various projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Utilizes Geographic Information System technology to present spatial information in
a digital format
2. Uses GIS techniques to provide a better understanding of certain variables in a given
geographic location
3. Performs analysis on data sets stored in a GIS or other databases.
4. Extracts and analyzes data with different analysis methods to arrive at results.
5. Recommends strategies in response to GIS analysis.
6. Creates and provides maps and data sets for analysis or other purposes.
7. Provide GIS support (data conversion, mapping, collect and/or extract data and etc.)
needed for transportation planning or other projects.
8. Manage dashboard that contains GIS data to ensure accuracy and timely updates.
9. Utilize data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to create charts.
10. Collaborate with and learn from District’s GIS enterprise program on their services

code analysis and determine how to best leverage tools to support the
Vulnerability Management Program.
• Review new vulnerabilities as they are disclosed and perform proactive

• Work with Server and Desktop engineers to develop and maintain baseline
images.
• Participate in the Change Advisory Board and represent the Go/NO-GO position

Program seeks a Sr. level Microsoft SQL database administrator with extensive expertise
in Microsoft 2008-2016 SQL database. The database administrator will be part of a
team supporting new citywide Disaster Recovery project. The Sr. SQL Server DBA will
be responsible for creating a new Database DR platform for hundreds of databases in an
enterprise virtual and cloud infrastructure. The Sr. SQL Server DBA will create new db
instances, develop new databases for each agency and create new tables required for
optimal performance. This position requires coordination with the customer, as well as
a variety of technical personnel with different specialized skills. The team based
environment is fast moving and has high expectations for quality of work and
turnaround times. Candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience with
Microsoft Windows, Active Directory and SQL databases.

Summary:
The SOC Analyst is a tier 2 tech resource responsible for monitoring, detecting,
analyzing, remediating, and reporting on cyber events and incidents impacting the tech
infrastructure of the District of Columbia. Serves as advanced escalation point.
Specific tasks:
1. Provide in-depth cybersecurity analysis, and trending of log, event data, and alerts
from diverse network devices and applications within the enterprise to identify and
troubleshoot specific cybersecurity incidents and make sound recommendations that
enable expeditious remediation.
4. Recognize, create and ingest indicators of compromise (ioc’s) for attacker tools,
tactics, and procedures into network security tools/applications (for example, mcafee
siem, palo alto content filter, anomali threatstream) to protect the government of the
district of columbia network.
7. Report common and repeat problems (trend analysis) to soc management and
propose process and technical improvements to improve the effectiveness and efficiency
of the incident handling process.
8. Respond to inbound requests via phone and other electronic means for technical
assistance, and resolve problems independently. Coordinate escalations and collaborate
with internal technology teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Minimum qualifications:
7. Adept at proactive search of the internet and other sources to identify cybersecurity
threat countermeasures, not previously ingested into network security
tools/applications, to apply to protect the government of the district of columbia
network.
8. Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time and tasks effectively.
1. Previous experience leading a soc team unit responsible for analysis and correlation
of cybersecurity event data
4. Experience with review of raw log files, and data correlation of firewall, network flow,
ids, and system logs.
This position requires shift work in a 11x5 environment, and the capacity to work
evening, overnight, and weekend hours as required. This position does not require a
U.S. Government security clearance. On-going travel is not anticipated.
