DDU KAUSHAL Kendra

Till now 40 KAUSHAL Kendras were been given permission across the country for imparting vocational education at Higher Education Universities. Thus, for the proposal submitted by the
Director of IECD, Bharathidasan university during the academic year 2015-16 before expert committee for evaluation and selection. And based on the proposal the expert committee has
recommend to approve DDU KAUSHAL Kendra to Bharathidasan university. Hence, University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi has sanctioned and provided a grant-in-aid of Rs. 3.50
Crores for establishment of DDU KAUSHAL (Deen Dayal Upadhyay - Knowledge Acquisition and Upgradation of Skilled Human Abilities and Livelihood) Kendra at Bharathidasan University.
Bharathidasan University is the only State University in Tamil Nadu which is chosen by the University Grants Commission for setting up of the DDU KAUSHAL Kendra.

GOAL:
Our country is facing a demand-supply mismatch in skilled workforce. Majority of our institutions remain disconnected with the requirement of the workplace.

To bridge the skill gap in all the emerging sectors and to satisfy the demand for vocational education at Higher education in India.

To deliver vocational education in a innovative and flexible way with the interface of the industry to developed curriculum, Field visits, Internships and Placements.

To take vocational and skill based education to new levels.
