Letter of Recommendation for Md Abdullah Al Masud

I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Md Abdullah AI Masud who is applying to

Master of Engineering (Crse) in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Energy Systems at the
University of Alberta. I have known Mr. Masud in my capacity as his Professor for over two
Years now during which, I taught him the courses Energy Conversion and Power Electronics.
Through my observation, I would like to say that he is attentive, studious and always possesses a
positive attitude towards academics.

Mr. Masud has shown great interest towards practical aided learning techniques throughout his
course of study. We had several sessions of discussion related course and research work in which
he confidently talked about his aspiration towards higher education. For his undergrad project, he
chose to work with "Hybrid Power System and Renewable Energy". Beside this, he has also
gained experience innumerous simple concepts, simulations and use of numerical analysis tools
and software, which will be highly valuable for his higher studies.

ln addition to his course work, Mr. Masud also dedicated some of his time in volunteering and
some other leadership roles both in the campus and outside. He has the ability to manage time
and schedule around different activities without having them interfere with his academic work.
The skill he acquired through planning and organizing various varsity events will be beneficial to
all of his future endeavors.

I have the deepest personal and professional respect for him, and sincerely believe Mr. Masud
will bring unique passion, energy and optimism and creativity to his desired course at the
