My Dear Eastern Kentucky Friends and Colleagues,

Greetings in the Name of the Lord.

God is alive and moving strong in and through the great people of Eastern Kentucky. Joni and I trust
you had a great Christmas and have welcomed in 2018 with all of the hope of Christ. We each one need
to be ready and willing to be all God needs us to be for Him today and in the days to come. Let us
“mount up with wings as eagles” and run for the cause of Christ.

I would like to share with you several important items concerning our great District.
 This month we are hosting a DCPI event – Dynamic Church Planting International –at Indiana Wes-
leyan in Lexington - January 19-20. This conference provides tools for the “new things” God wants
to do in our lives, our churches, and our district. You will be given some of the “how-to” tools and
moments for God to challenge you and interact with others to let God stretch and move you. This
event is a great opportunity for each church. It is our honor to have Dr. Mark Bane, USA/Canada -
Evangelism Ministries Director as one of our trainers for the weekend. We are also blessed to have
Reverends Chris Gilmore, David Mills, and Myron Hall as our program directors. There is still time
for you to join us. We now have over 60 attending this important life changing training.
 Please pray for the churches that are in the process of a pastoral transition: Irvine, Worthington and
Pineville
 We welcome the following pastors to their new assignments:
Mount Vernon – Homer & Wendy Edmonds – They start on January 21, 2018
 Please check where your church is on the Budget process. This is a great time to get caught up with
our privilege of stewardship. – please remember to mail your district and MVNU budget payments
to:
EKD Church of the Nazarene
PO BOX 266
Catlettsburg, KY 41129
 Please be in prayer for our Conventions and Assembly being held at the Maysville Refinery - June
10-13, 2018.
 Also mark your calendars for the “Prayer Awakening” we are hosting with the Kentucky District
March 2-4, 2018 – held at the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene

Joni and I continue to be humbled by your faithfulness. Thank you for your obedience and also the sup-
port we feel from you, on the Great Eastern Kentucky District.

Totally His,

Pastor Doug Wyatt
