Fredericton,

Dear Sir/Madam

Please accept this letter and the accompanying resume together with my transcript as an expression of
my interest in a position with your organisation. In April 2017 I will have completed my second year of
the Civil Engineering program at the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton. I am submitting my
application for the Co-op Engineering position that is available May to August 2017 (4 month term), that
was posted on the UNB co-op job bank.

My education and work experiences make me an ideal fit for your organization. I have acquired a sound
overall knowledge of leading edge engineering principles, tools, and practice; with emphasis on
construction supervision, work inspections and surveying. I’m proficient in the use of various automated
solutions including current releases of AutoCAD and Solid Edge.

My personal attributes include leadership and sound judgement as well as creativity, analytical and
troubleshooting skills. I interact productively with people from diverse backgrounds. This is a result of
my experience in my current jobs as Student manager and Proctor. I have taken on three jobs last
semester and was able to maintain high academic standing, demonstrating my time management skills.

A co-op placement with your company is of particular interest to me as it allows me to continue with
project based engineering work. My research suggests that a position at your organization will allow me
to further develop my critical thinking and problem solving skills while further developing the ability to
work within an engineering team to produce high quality results.

I would like to thank you for considering my application and look forward to hearing from your
organization.

Yours Sincerely,

Nyasha Ngwenya
