SYLLABUS

Subject Code : MCSL51E

Subject Title : Microprocessor System
No. of Units : Four (4) units
Lecture Hours/Week : Three (3) hours
Laboratory Hours/Week : Three (3) hours
Prerequisite : LCSL48E

Course Description:

The course covers concepts involving microprocessor/micro controller systems architecture/organization including
microprocessor/micro controller programming, interfacing techniques, memory systems and bus standards. In the
laboratory the students will be involved with experiments using microcontrollers and the use of
microprocessor/micro controller development systems and other tools. Experiment topic include: assembly language
programming topics, interfacing with input and output devices, data transfer between micro controller-based circuits
and the PC via the serial port and parallel port.
