20 year old TML engine built on 697 (6 cylinder X 97 mm bore) Known as `Madam` engine with
higher engine oil consumption.and lower engine life.
Same engine was used in Tata 2516 Super turbo which was a very big failure due to engine seizures

Higher cubic capacity can take overload/abuse with ease-More efficient engine as with mriginally
higher cubic capacity it generates 44 HP more power.

Higher FGR ,more torque at 1st Gear -which is used for most of the time.Also wider Max torque
range ensures less frequent gear shifts and better driveability

Can negotiate steep ascents e.g. flyovers with ease,Lesser cycle time & Faster turnaround time.

Adequate power,TML is highly underpowered-

Higher Torue,better pulling power & wider range of RPM for torque so lesser nos of gear shift there
by giving higher kmpl.

Lesser TCD,less time lost in city operations and in negotiating in narrow and crowded lanes.
Lesser load on engine due to more no of gears -TML has GBS 40-which is 20 year old gear box-
rejected many STUs like PUNBUS & HREC-Higher Gear life due to more no of gears

Polymer tank ensures pue quality of diesel there by improving fuel kmpl & pump life.problems due
to fuel tank corrison due to diesel totally eliminated.
