The Reason Of The Movement

In history, movement is a common thing. People move a lot because of the different

reasons.Sometimes, movement can determine the destiny of a family. So I want to explore

the reason and the difference between movements.

I did the interview with the Mr.Wang and Mrs.Wang in Wang family. They told me

several things about the movements in their family. In Wang family has two parts of

histories of movement. One is from Mr.Wang, another is about Mrs.Wang. In the family

story of Mr.Wang, they had three movements. The first one was from the father of

Mr.Wang. Before that, the grandfather of Mr.Wang and the family members all lived in a

village of Anhui, China. But his father went to the college in Shanxi, China and met the

mother of Mr.Wang there. So they moved to Shanxi, China and Mr.Wang was born. During

the development of the society, the buildings and houses became better and better. After

Mr.Wang got his job with stable salary, he decided to move into a new house from the old

one. Because the old house was too small for his family and the new house has elevator

that suitable for his parents. In 2013, Mr.Wang moved to Beijing, China because of the

transfer of his job. And now, he and his family live in Beijing, China. In the history of

Mr.Wang, there are several reasons of movement. The reason of movement of his father is

keeping education. And his reason is living better and working more convenient.

The family movement’s history of Mrs.Wang is a little bit longer. The father of

grandfather of Mrs.Wang moved to a mountain in Shanxi, China from a village in Shanxi,

China. The world war 2 happened that time. In order to escape the war, they had to move.

After that, they lived at the mountain until her father went to the university in Yangquan,
China and moved to there. And then, Mrs.Wang was born. She went to the college in

Xi’an, China and 6 years later, she moved back to Shanxi, China. In 2013, she moved to

Beijing, China with her husband and daughter. Now,Wang family live in Beijing, China. In

Mrs.Wang’s family, they got rid of the war, went to colleges to achieve their goals.

In the interview, my most interesting part is the movement about the world war 2. So

I choose two countries to do the research. One is Japan and another is Germany. In the

world war 2, the reason of movements between the two country are different. On May 29,

1895, Japanese troops landed in Taiwan. They began exercising their rights in the Treaty of

Shimonoseki. At this time, the land under Japanese rule increased by 36,000 square

kilometers. In July 1899, Hetian came to Taiwan with 385 people in 133 families. In 1911,

the first government-owned Yoshino immigrant village in Taiwan was established in

Hashimodad (now Ji'an). The size of the village has more than 1,700 people. Since then,

government-run and private Japanese immigration villages have been established in

Hualien, Taitung and western plains in Taiwan. That means a part of the Japanese moved to

Taiwan,China. In October 1932, an immigrant group of 492 former soldiers went to

Jiamusi along the Songhua River after receiving a brief education and training from Kato

Junko. They assumed some of the city's warning missions at first. At the beginning of the

second year, he entered Yongfeng Town, Huachuan County, where he built the first

settlement, "Mi Rong Village." According to the records, by 1936, more than 5 immigrant

groups had formed, with a population of over 3,000. In May 1936, the Kwantung Army

formulated the "Manchurian Migration Project of Migrants in Migrants" ("Million

Migrants Plan"). It is envisaged that since 1937, the number of immigrants to the northeast
of China will be 1 million and 5 million within 20 years. When the "Million Migrants

Resettlement Plan" ended, 1/10 of the 50 million people in Northeast China were Japanese.

According to statistics, after the defeat of Japan, about 6.5 million Japanese stayed in Asia,

Siberia and the Pacific. Among them, there are about 3.5 million troops of Lukhai troops

and the rest are civilians, including a large number of women and children. In September

1946, more than 2 million Japanese were still not repatriated. The government

acknowledged that about 540,000 people still missing. In the world war 2, Japan invaded

China. The reason of movement was that to build the colonist in China and perished China.

So they sent soldiers continuously to China and let them had families with houses there.

They wanted to broaden their territory. That’s the only reason about their movements.

After world war 2, West Germany accommodated many war refugees from the

Soviet Union, Eastern Europe and South Eastern Europe, and even many East Germans.

West Germany advocated free and open and absorbed the natural rights of this part of

refugees. With the proceeding of post-war reconstruction, some Western European

countries, including Germany, are facing the problem of the extreme lack of labor. They set

up specialized organizations to introduce foreign workers. Because East Germans banned

access to West Germany, West Germany began to recruit a large number of foreign

workers from countries such as Turkey, Italy, Spain and Greece. According to statistics,

about 150 million foreign workers entered the West Germany in the 1950s and 1960s.

Since the mid-1980s, a large number of asylum seekers have started to enter Germany. In

the four years after 1986, some 380,000 people sought asylum from West Germany, most

of them from Iran and Lebanon. By the 1990s, with the end of the Cold War and the
reunification of Eastern and Western Germany, a large number of Germans who had left

their German roots in Central and Eastern Europe began to return to Germany at a rate of

hundreds of thousands of people each year. Much of these migrants have been alienated

from German language, culture and society. They just liked "strange German." The

immigration wave that took place in the 1990s in Germany was also dominated by another

force. That is, a large number of political asylum seekers and refugees from war caused by

the drastic changes in East Europe and the turmoil in areas such as the Iraq war and the war

in Afghanistan. Between 1990 and 1992, about 900,000 refugees entered Germany, mostly

from the former Yugoslavia, Romania or Turkey. The number of asylum seekers in 1992

was as high as 430,000, but the total number of refugees entering the European Community

(EU's predecessor) was only 550,000. In contrast, in the first seven months of 2015,

340,000 refugees had entered Europe and became the largest refugee wave after World

War 2. It should be said that foreign immigrants have infused vitality and pushed the

development of economic of Germany in post-war reconstruction. The economic prosperity

of Germany has also increased the capacity to accommodate immigrants. However, as the

overall European economy dwindles, the influx of Syrian refugees left Europe dazed. From

the research, there are two reasons of the movements that happened in Germany. One was

escaping the war and another was backing to home. More and more foreign immigrants

came to Germany.

During the world war 2, Japan and Germany were both defeated. The movement of

them also had the same points. Lots of Japanese and German moved away to other

countries and plenty of them never back to their own countries. The movements’ reason of
Japan was gaining more colonists. But in Germany, the foreign people moved in and

German moved back after the wars.So the reason that German moved to their country was

backing home. That are the most different point in the movements between Japan and

Germany.

Except the war, there are also several reasons in the history about movements. In

today's society, moving is mainly divided into two situations. One is to rent a house to

move, one is to buy a new house to move. Two kinds of moving mainly represent two

groups of people. The former is mainly young people. Because they are new to the

community. They don't have stable jobs and shelter they can live in. So they often move

houses in rented houses. The second is middle-aged. To middle-aged, in addition to except

raising children, it is estimated to move a new home.

For the younger people, movement maybe means having easier and more convenient

life. For example, some people move to work near the place. So they may not consider

other factors after they move. For them, going to work without crossing more than half the

city is a happy thing.

The second reason for younger people is because of the boyfriend or girlfriend. For

example, if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend. This time you may think about moving into

a new place to build a new family.

At the point of the younger people, education is the third reason of movement. As

the story in Wang family, some of them moved in order to go to their dream school. That’s

a true phenomenon to move because of school. The most significant thing for younger

people is the education and study.

For the middle-aged people, the first reason is improving the quality of life. Image

that, you live in a old and small house now and everything in your house is old-fashioned.

You wouldn’t have happy face and happy mood. If you have chance, you will move to a

better place to live. So your life will be more colorful and you will see more and meet more

new friends.

Most middle-aged people have children, not matter what age their offsprings are. In

China, parents always think for their children. Some of them even live with their children.

So sometimes the movements of parents depend on their children. Their children move,

they will move too.
