FLA

Full-Load Amperes

This one is self-explanatory, it refers to the amps drawn by the motor when it is operating at full load.
This would be the current value to consider when estimating voltage drop across the feeder circuit.

LRA

Locked-Rotor Amperes

This current value is the one that would result if rated voltage was applied to the motor while its rotor
is locked in place (not turning). This will normally not occur in field applications, but consider that the
rotor is at 0 rpm when a motor is turned off.... therefore the LRA provides an indication of the inrush
current during startup.

The LRA value is irrelevant when the motor is running, but it must be taken into account when sizing
overload protection equipment.

MCA

Minimum Circuit Ampacity

Another self-explanatory concept - MCA is the minimum capacity that is allowed for the feeder circuit
that will power the motor. For instance, a motor with an MCA of 20 amps will require AWG#12 cable.

MOPD

Maximum Over-current Protection Device

This is the max rated value the breaker can have. If sized above this value, it might not trip during
some overload conditions.
