Drowning itself is quick and silent, although it may be preceded by distress which
is more visible. A person drowning is unable to shout or call for help, or seek
attention, as they cannot obtain enough air. The instinctive drowning response is
the final set of autonomic reactions in the 20 – 60 seconds before sinking
underwater, and to the untrained eye can look similar to calm safe behavior.

In this project we are introducing an anti drown vehicle which helps to escape from
vehicle accidents. The vehicle gets accident and it will sinking in water, at that
time the sensors inside the vehicle will active and the circuit will shorted with the
presence of water. At that time the balloon fitted with the vehicle will fill with the
gas and it will extract at that time we can escape from sinking.

The main aim of this project is to avoid the accidents. The accidents during when
the vehicles fall into water the safety balloon fitted with the vehicle will protect the
vehicle from sinking water. The main working parts of this system are a
microcontroller unit and the balloon in the vehicle. The balloon made with hard
plastic and which will helps to avoid the accident.

A microcontroller (sometimes abbreviated µC, uC or MCU) is a small computer on

a single integrated circuit containing a processor core, memory, and programmable
input/output peripherals. Program memory in the form of (NOR flash or OTP
ROM) is also often included on chip, as well as a typically small amount of RAM.
Microcontrollers are designed for embedded applications. Microcontrollers are
used in automatically controlled products and devices, such as automobile engine
control systems, implantable medical devices, remote controls, office machines,
appliances, power tools, toys and other embedded systems. By reducing the size
and cost compared to a design that uses a separate microprocessor, memory, and
input/output devices, microcontrollers make it economical to digitally control even
more devices and processes. Mixed signal microcontrollers are common,
integrating analog components needed to control non-digital electronic systems

Manufacturing processes are the steps through which raw materials are
transformed into a final product. The manufacturing process begins with the
creation of the materials from which the design is made. These materials are then
modified through manufacturing processes to become the required part.
Manufacturing processes can include treating (such as heat treating or coating),
machining, or reshaping the material. The manufacturing process also includes
tests and checks for quality assurance during or after the manufacturing, and
planning the production process prior to manufacturing.

General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) is a packet-based wireless

communication service that promises data rates from 56 up to 114 Kbps and
continuous connection to the Internet for mobile phone and computer users.

General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) is a packet-

based wirelesscommunication service that promises data rates from 56 up to
114 Kbps and continuous connection to the Internet for mobile phone and
computer users. The higher data rates allow users to take part in video conferences
and interact with multimedia Web sites and similar applications using
mobile handheld devices as well as notebook computers. GPRS is based on Global
System for Mobile (GSM) communication and complements existing services
such circuit-switchedcellular phone connections and the Short Message Service

In theory, GPRS packet-based services cost users less than circuit-switched

services since communication channels are being used on a shared-use, as-packets-
are-needed basis rather than dedicated to only one user at a time. It is also easier to
make applications available to mobile users because the faster data rate means
that middleware currently needed to adapt applications to the slower speed of
wireless systems are no longer be needed. As GPRS has become more widely
available, along with other 2.5G and 3Gservices, mobile users of virtual private
networks (VPNs) have been able to access the private network continuously over
wireless rather than through a rooted dial-up connection.
GPRS also complements Bluetooth, a standard for replacing wired
connections between devices with wireless radio connections. In addition to the
Internet Protocol (IP), GPRS supports X.25, a packet-based protocol that is used
mainly in Europe. GPRS is an evolutionary step toward Enhanced Data GSM
Environment (EDGE) and Universal Mobile Telephone Service (UMTS).

Introducing Power Supplies

Power is the backbone of any electronic system and the power supply is
what feeds the system. Choosing the right supply can be the critical difference
between a device working at optimum levels and one that may deliver inconsistent

In addition to alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) power supplies,

DC to DC converters are also available. If DC is already available in your system,
a DC to DC converter may be the better design choice than AC discussed below.

Direct current power supplies are either unregulated or regulated. Regulated

supplies come in several options including linear, switched and battery-based.

AC-DC Conversion Basics A power supply takes the AC from the wall
outlet, converts it to unregulated DC, and reduces the voltage using an input power
transformer, typically stepping it down to the voltage required by the load. For
safety reasons, the transformer also separates the output power supply from the
mains input.
Power Supply Comparisons

AC power supplies come in two varieties, unregulated and regulated.

Unregulated is the most basic type of power supply and does not have the ability to
supply consistent voltage to a load, while regulated power supplies do and have
many different design options.

Linear converters are the least complex but also create the most heat, while
switched converters are more intricate and cooler but create more noise. Batteries
are typically switched converters. Each has advantages and drawbacks but which
to use will be based mostly on the type of application and the conditions under
which it will be run.
