To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of Ms. Leah Stavale who has served as my student teacher in third
grade in fall 2017. The students and I thoroughly enjoyed having Ms. Stavale in the classroom. Her
passion for teaching is contagious as is her energy and enthusiasm. She was just as excited about
teaching when working with my learning-disabled students as she was working with my academically
gifted students, and all the students benefitted tremendously from Ms. Stavale’s love for teaching.

Leah is the kind of teacher that I would want my own children to have. She is very professional in
performing all the duties expected of a teacher. Leah is always willing to go the extra mile to help her
students. She arrives at school early and stays late daily. She has also been involved with and
attended many trainings such as our new Journeys Language Arts curriculum training, Data Review
days and parent-teacher conferences. She is thorough with her organization and planning. Leah
assesses her students’ strengths and weaknesses and then plans accordingly.

One area of strength for Leah is the wonderful rapport that she has with her students. She has a very
warm and caring personality. She really cares about her students and wants every one of them to
succeed. She finds ways for all students Ms. Stavale’s progressive approach to teaching is highly
motivational for the students. She has a gift for sparking class discussions that generate enthusiasm
among virtually all students, holding their attention and helping them remember the day’s lesson.

Leah knows the curriculum well and uses that knowledge in the best way for students to learn the
material. She presents lessons that recognize the various learning styles that are present in the
classroom. She utilizes technology and comes up with many new and innovative lesson plans. Ms.
Stavale has always been well-prepared for class. She has excellent written and verbal communication
skills and is extremely computer literate. She has proven to be very organized and highly dependable
this year. I have total confidence in her ability to command a classroom without supervision. Her
innovative techniques and positive attitude will benefit every student.

In closing, I highly recommend Ms. Leah Stavale for any teaching position that she is being considered
for. I am confident that she will make a valuable addition to the teaching staff. Please do not
hesitate to contact me regarding this recommendation.

Sincerely,

Michelle Beliveau
