Major journalism projects (recent):

2017: Commissioned and Executive Produced the successful ‘everyday economics’ podcast It All
Adds Up for Australia’s Fairfax Media. Developed a commissioning strategy and capability
framework for podcasts at Fairfax Media

2016: Co-produced and project-managed the highly successful investigative podcast series Phoebe’s
Fall for Fairfax Media – as a case study in ‘project-based learning’ (skills development in the context
of cutting edge, audience-engaged journalism practice). This series was the first major podcasting
project at the major Australian news organisation and it cemented the appeal of investigative
reporting produced by Fairfax Media with new audiences. It also won a gold medal for radio at the
New York Radio Festival, along with three national Australian journalism awards.

2016: Research Editor and Partnerships Manager for YourVote: Collaborative Fairfax Media
interactive deliberative democracy project produced in partnership with Dutch academics and the
University of Sydney – operational for the duration of the Australian Federal Election in 2016

2011: Project Manager and Executive Producer, Reporting Refugees - a collaborative public
journalism project involving final year broadcast journalism students and refugee support agencies
in partnership with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (c.f.
