CB Program Development Goals

School Year 2016/2017

Overall Goal for all CB programs

The CB teams will increase their effective communication between team members and build positive team
relationships from a level of engaging in non productive communication to building team rapport and pride to
increase effective program planning and implementation in order to positively impact student achievement and
success.
Paraprofessionals
● Set Group Norms
● Consistently model, implement. and uphold group norms
● Incorporate character building activities to formulate positive relationships among staff
● Be willing and open to courageous conversations about what is best for kids.
Related-Service Providers
● Proactively reach out to related service providers to share their knowledge and expertise in their areas and
take ownership of their vision to train daily staff on implementation of student needs.
● Be willing and open to courageous conversations about what is best for kids.
General Education Staff:
● Proactively reach out to general education staff to share information and ownership in order to build rapport
and create a culture of acceptance, unity, and confidence in their skills to work with the learner.
● Work with general education staff to open the doors of communication to identify realistic expectations for
classroom environment, be flexible to try new techniques that might not be typical for their classroom, and to
foster relationships with peers and be a meaningful member of the class community.

Goal:

Chaska Middle School West-AIM and DISCOVER

Goal: After reviewing student driven data, center-based teachers will increase their ability to reflect on instructional
strategies and incorporate research based methods based on student need and growth in order to increase learning
and engagement.
