By Thy Passion, we were set free from
our passions, O Christ, and by Thy
from corruption. O Lord:  Glory to
Thee!
The Lord reigns; He clothed Himself
with Majesty. The Lord clothed and
girded Himself with Power.
Thy Life-giving Resurrection, O Lord,
has brought Light to the entire Earth,
and revived Thy Creation that lay in
corruption. Therefore, released
from the Curse of Adam, we cry
aloud: O Almighty Lord:  Glory to
Thee!
And He established the world, which
shall not be moved.
O God Who by Nature cannot be
changed, suffering in the Flesh, hast
changed Thyself. Creation - being
prostrate with Fear - was unable to
bear the sight of Thee hanging, and
groaned as it sang the praises of Thy
Long-suffering. Thou descended
into Hades, and Rose on the Third
Day, granting Life and Great Mercy
to the world.
Holiness is proper to Thy House, O
Lord, unto length of days.

Deliver us from Death, and Thou

The Books will be opened and all the
deeds of us mortals will be read out,
and revealed before Thine
Unbearable Judgement Seat, O
Christ, and the whole Valley will
echo with the fearful sound of dread
weeping, as it watches all those who
sinned in life weep aloud in vain,
being sent away by Thy Just
Judgement, O Righteous Judge, to
Eternal Torments and Punishment.
Wherefore, we beseech Thee, O
Loving and Compassionate Lord:
Spare us who praise and sing hymns
to thee, O Only Most Merciful.
Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles!
Praise Him, all your people!
The Trumpets will loudly sound, and all
the tombs will be emptied, and all
mankind, with Great Fear and
Trembling, will rise up to be Judged.
Those who did Good Deeds will
Rejoice with Great Joy, as they await
their due Reward, but those who
sinned will lament with wailing and
trembling Fear as they are
condemned to Punishment and
parted from all the Chosen. Pity us,
O Christ, O Lord of Godly, in Thy
Goodness and Great Love, and count
us worthy to take our place with

When the Thrones are set up, and the
Books are opened, and God sits in
Judgement, O what Fear there will
be! When the Angels stand in Fear in
Thy Presence, and the River of Fire
flows, what shall we who are guilty
of sin then do? When we hear Him
Calling the Blessed of His Father into
the Kingdom, but sending away
sinners to Punishment, who will
withstand such Fearsome
Condemnation? But, O Saviour, Who
alone Loves mankind, O King of the
Ages, before the End comes, turn me
back through Repentance and have
Mercy on me.
Now and ever, and to the Ages of ages.

can we not marvel at Thy
Theandric Childbirth, O Most
Reverend Maid? For while having
had no spousal congress, All-
Blameless One, Thou gave Birth to a
Son Unfathered in the Flesh, Who
had, unmothered, been Begotten of
the Father before all Ages. He in no
way underwent any change,
intermingling or division; but He
preserved each Nature’s distinct
Identity in its totality. Therefore, O
