Diary for background and navigation bar

Aim – Create background and take 2. I created a new page


screenshots and annotate. in Photoshop. I
purposely made it
Date – November 17th 2017 big since the website
Learnt – I took screenshots and I might have a
annotated them. scrolling Box.

Evidence –
1. I created a rectangle
shape and I gave it a
gradient with fire
colours. I chose fire
colours to match the
theme of the company
name.

3. This is what it looked like. I saved it as an image.

Navigation menu
1. I created a new page in Photoshop. I made the width very long and
the height six times smaller than the width.
2. I created a rectangle and I
gave it a dark red colour. I
then went to Layer Style
and Bevel Emboss. The
reason I wanted the shape
to have a bevel is because I
wanted it to look
professional and not blend
in with the background.

4. I set up what I wanted the


bevel effect on the Box to
look like.

6. I opened my logo and I dragged I 5. I typed in some more text for the titles.
onto the main page. I shrunk it so
that it would fit on the Box.
7. I changed the font, colour and size for the text. I made the
text a light-yellow colour. I chose a yellow colour to match
the fire theme and I chose a plain font to make it look
modern and easy to read.

8. I saved the whole thing as an image. Aim – Take screenshots and annotate.

9. I opened a new Photoshop


document.

10. I created a Box which was the same colour as the top
navigation menu.
11. I went to Layer
Style and Bevel
Emboss. I wanted
to make it look
exactly like the top
navigation menu so
that the homepage
would be
consistent.

12. This is the result. I saved it as an image.
