How to Play Warhammer 40,000

These are Imperial Guardsmen, they are basic humans, with basic guns,
called Lasguns.

They are legion strength, there are millions upon millions of them in the
galaxy, fighting wars, defending planets, and travelling through space.

Each squad has 10 men in it. They have basic armour so there is a chance that they can avoid
death.

Movement
Each guardsman can move 6 inches.

Shooting
Each guardsman can shoot up to 24 inches.
At 12 inches each guardsman can shoot twice.

How it works
Each player takes a turn, in which they can move, and shoot. The order is decided by rolling a
single die, with the player rolling the highest score going first.

There is a sequence to your turn. First, you decide whether you want to move closer to your
opponent or not. If not, you do not move, if you do, then you can move up to 6 inches.

Then there is shooting. If you are in range (24 inches) then you may fire once per person in your
squad. To shoot, You have to roll the correct number of dice (or d6) depending on how many
people you have in your squad.

You roll dice to determine whether you hit your target or not. You then need to roll dice to see
whether you hurt (or wound your target), your opponent then rolls dice to see whether his armour
can protect him or not.

When you are rolling to hit, you roll the dice, and you will need a 4 or more to hit your target, you
will then need to roll a 4 or more to wound him. If you wound your target, your opponent then rolls
for his armour save, needing 5 or more to pass. If your opponent fails his armour saves, that many
models are removed from the table.
