The leader of Iraq, Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait. He was trying to take oil from them. This

led to the conflict of war and chaos when the U.S. formed a Anti-Iraq coalition to help Kuwait.

The coalition forced the Iraqis that invaded Kuwait out back to Iraq. There were many deaths on

the Iraq side and a lot fewer on the allied forces. This source told a lot about the Gulf War, it is

also a very popular database and is used by many people, which makes it reliable information

about the Gulf War. Overall this source gave me a lot of good information about the Gulf War.

Therefore this source helped a lot when writing my paper.

"The First Gulf War." Office of the Historian, Bureau of Public Affairs,

history.state.gov/departmenthistory/short-history/firstgulf.

When Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait he definitely paid for all of the damage he had done in

Kuwait. President Bush mad a Anti-Iraq coalition and launched Operation Desert Storm.

Operation Desert Storm was a 100 hour land war. This war forced Iraq to leave Kuwait and agree

to a cease fire. This website is reliable seeing that it is a .state.gov website means only the

government can edit this information. Which makes it pretty reliable. This website gave good

background information about the Gulf War. Which helped me write my thesis and incorporate

some background information into my introduction.

Gregory, Josh. The Persian Gulf War. The Child's World, 2014.
“The Persian Gulf War” tells people the information about the events that happened in the Gulf

War and just generally about it. The Iraqis invaded Kuwait and then chaos broke out. Iraq was

blowing up and burning Kuwaiti oil wells. They were doing so much damage in Kuwait, so

President Bush made an Anti-Iraq coalition to help Kuwait. The coalition had a war with Iraq

and eventually won the fight and pushed Iraqis back into Iraq. This book is reliable because it is

made by Scholastic and they are a very trusted company, so it makes this book reliable. This

book helped me because it tells me a lot of information about everything that has to do with the

Gulf War.

Hampton, Dan. Viper Pilot. Ascalon, 2012.

“Viper Pilot” gives a lot of information about the Persian Gulf War. It talks about the air war that

happened in the Gulf War and how damaged Iraq and Kuwait got in this war. Planes dropped

bombs on Iraq targeted areas and destroyed them. Both Iraq and Kuwait had a lot of damage

done. This air war led to a 100 hour ground war. The allied forces managed to win and push

Iraqis back into Iraq. This source was reliable because it was written by a veteran pilot that

fought in the gulf war. This information was very helpful and was very detailed, so it helped a

lot.

Yasuda, Anita. The Gulf War. The Child's World, 2015.

This book tells you about the sequence of stuff from the beginning of the war to the end.

How the war started and how the conflict was started. Also how the war ended. President Bush

managed to help Kuwait fight off the Iraqis and with the war. This book is reliable because it is
published by a company that publishes a lot of books. It also gives very good accurate

information. All of this information helped me throughout when I was writing my paper.
