SUMMARY
On the date and time listed above, the West Los Angeles CHP Area was dispatched to a traffic collision at the location listed above. The
traffic collision involved a Tesla automobile versus a Culver City Fire Department Engine. The Culver City Fire Department Engine was
stopped at an angle within the carpool lane, and its personnel were tending to a victim from an unrelated traffic collision on the opposite side
of the freeway. Shortly thereafter, a collision occurred when the Tesla struck the rear of the fire engine within the carpool lane. During the
investigation, the driver stated he had engaged the "Autopilot" feature of the Tesla prior to the collision. At this time, the CHP is unable to
confirm the driver's statement and the collision is still under investigation. The fire engine was unoccupied at the time of the collision and no
injuries were claimed on scene.

Currently, the Tesla "Autopilot" feature is not considered autonomous under California Law.
