VISION & BRIEF
Understanding the specialised needs of healthcare
enables us to create our client’s vision and develop
the brief for each individual project. Our web based
“Health Facility Briefing System” (HFBS), is applied
to take each project from the earliest Briefing and
Concept Design through Master Planning, Detailed
Design and Documentation, Equipment Schedules and
Construction Commissioning in a fraction of the time it
would take using traditional methods.
WITHIN BUDGET
We are conscious of the commercial aspects for the
healthcare projects. Cost effective solutions balance
both the capital outlay together with the long-term life
cycle costing. We work closely with experienced
quantity surveyors specialised in hospital projects
to control the cost through each project.
ADDED VALUE
TAHPI adds value to projects through years of
experience and understanding in healthcare. Our
solutions provide efficient planning, minimal structure,
optimised MEP systems and planning for the future
which guarantees that buildings are economical to
build, operate, and maintain whilst allowing for future
growth and expansion. Our peer reviews often lead
to significant construction saving that dwarf our fees.
REGIONAL STRENGTH
TAHPI has a strong regional presence with offices in
Sydney, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuala Lumpur, New Delhi
and London, with many more satellite offics shared
with local partners.

Methodology
Health Service Planning
Service Planning starts with the Needs Analysis for
health services within a defined population catchment.
Statistical analysis is combined with planning skills
to identify several directions to proceed. TAHPI’s
methodology will guide the client through the
development of the service plan.
Briefing
Briefing (or Functional Program) is a highly specialised
field. Preparation of a brief in healthcare projects is
unlike any commercial or residential project requiring
consultation with a variety of interested parties.
TAHPI’s experienced team is skilled in translating the
client’s service plan into a set of coherent and medically
workable briefs.
Master Planning
The creation of the Master Plan will reflect the long
term strategy for the development of the project by
projecting the future service demand (typically 10 to

Modular Hospitals
Soft Modular
The “Soft Modular” approach is about compartmentalisation
of the knowledge of healthcare design into units of planning
from departments and services to rooms, content, finishes and
specifications. We feature 50 Functional Units of planning and 500
unique room types; fully specified, pre-designed and engineered
with multiple combinations to create hospitals of any scale. These
raw components form quick and out-of-the-box design modules that
comply with the relevant standards and guidelines.
58
Hard Modular
The modular designs are pre-fabricated in components and delivered
through the industrial production and efficiency of scale. The concept
replaces “construction” with “transportation” and “assembly”. The
pre-fabricated units would be fully functional at the time of delivery
including all medical and non-medical equipment, furniture, software
and automation systems. Simply put, these hospitals are delivered like
large passenger aircraft differentiated by capacity and model. They
come with a warranty like any industrial product.
Modular Hospitals
TAHPI has a large catalogue of pre-designed hospitals from just 16 beds
to 500 beds, ready to adopt and order.
