2. It is my pleasure to inform you that SMK Pandan have established a team ‘FABURIOUS’
to represent the school in Formula One (F1) In Schools STEM Challenge National Finals 2017
that will be held on 6th November to 9th November 2017 in Port Dickson Negeri Sembilan.

3. This is the school’s forth effort to recognize students’ potential talent and skill in the
engineering field. As one of the requirement for the competition, each team must come up with
enough funds ranging from RM3000 – RM5, 000. This fund is needed to finance the team’s
expenditure for preparation and competition.

4. Due to that, we would like to ask your generosity to sponsor our team. You can choose
the amount that you would like to sponsor based on the provided reply slip. Sponsors corporate

TEAM F1 IN SCHOOL SMK PANDAN 2017
INTRODUCTION
This year our team will represents our school SMK
PANDAN Kuantan in 2017 F1 in School Malaysia.To
develop and innovate the F1 model,we need
support from company or organization that accept
our sponsorship proposal.This sponsorship will be
able to benefit both sides.

WHAT IS F1 IN SCHOOLS?
For your information,The F1 in Schools Technology
Challenge is a worldwide program involving over
6900 students from Malaysia and 20 Million
worldwide.The initiative is aimed at engaging and
challenging high school students as well as
introducing them to the possibilities of careers in
engineering,science,marketing and project
management.The international competition
requires teams of 3-5 members to
design,manufacture,test,race and market a
miniature Formula One style car.It is propelled
down a 20 meter track powered by the jet from a
CO2 canister.The average car will complete the
race in just over one second,reaching speeds
topping 80km/h.A total of 900 possible points re
awarded across a variety of stationery and
dynamic events.

<FABURIOUS> was formed this year and
participated by 4 excellent form 4 students with
their fantastic range of skills and intelligency.

The F1 in Schools challenge allows students the

opportunity to aply their classroom knowledge to
practical situations,while enhancing their skills in
engineering,science,marketing and project
management through collaboration with
experienced professional and relevant industries.

As part of the program,students are exposed to

career options and are encouraged to extent
themselves,to think laterally and creatively,to
develop their technical skill when dealing with
members of industry,potential sponsors,officials
and other competitors.

Students learn the importance of team work,time

management,organization and patience.On a
practical level,students learn about CAD(Computer
Aided Design) program skills to design their
cars,verbal presentation skills graphic design skills
and manufacturing skills which include operating a
CNC(Computer Numerically Controlled) milling
machine to turn their software design into a
competition car.Participation in the F1 in Schools
competition is desirable addition to the students’
curricular vitae when applying for university or
employement positions.
