Petronas establish it’s Corporate Sustainability Council ( CSC ) in 2010.

Reconstituted in
2011,it is a deliberative body currently chaired by Executive Vice President for Exploration
& Production and comprises Vice President and Head of relevant business and corporate
unit.

PETRONAS’ CSC drives corporate sustainability practices and initiatives and makes
recommendation to the PETRONAS Executive Committee ( EXCO) for implementation across
the Group.

Sustainabilty governance was reviewed as part of Corporate Sustainability Study conduct.


At group level CSC provides leadership on the implementation of sustainability initiatives.

PETRONAS also strengthened its HSE as well as sustainability governance mechanism and
practices in the period under review. The Mandatory Control Framework (MCF), HSE risk
profiling and risk based assurance were introduced to fortify HSE governance across the
company.
Shareholder Value Sustaining the company profitability through value
creation, efficient extraction, and manufacturing
process.

Natural Resource Use Promote efficient use of energy and water, and
supporting the use of renewable energy.

Climate Change Limiting emission of greenhouse gases into


atmosphere.

Ensuring project and operation do not have


significant effect on the diversity on humans , animals
and plants.

Health Safety and Environment Preventing and eliminating injuries, health hazards
and damage to property and conserving the
environment.

Product Stewardship Ensuring that products conform to quality and HSE


standards and meet the need of society.

Social need Safeguarding human rights within our sphere of


influence contributing to company needs, investing
in training and education, promoting arts and sports.
Unlawful Discrimination Unlawful discrimination relating to employment will have no
toleration by PETRONAS. Employee must comply with laws in your
local jurisdiction that prohibit workplace discrimination.

Occupational Health, Safety Employees subjected to this code must conscientiously and diligently

issued by PETRONAS and all applicable HSE law and regulation,

Borrowing Money Employee must not borrow money from their subordinate, PETRONAS
contractor, suc-contractor supplier or any person either directly or
indirectly. However stand surety for their subordinates or other
person subject to the code for loan taken from PETRONAS based on
PETRONAS prevailing policy.
