James Madison’s notes on the constitutional convention are very important to the research I have
conducted. This is a primary source written by James Madison during the Constitutional
Convention.

The Virginia and New Jersey plans. (n.d.). Retrieved from Online Library of
Liberty database.

This database explains the New Jersey and Virginia plans, these two plans were the cause of the
Great Compromise. This is a primary source because the article comes from “The American
Republic collection of primary sources” and it is written by the original drafters of these two
plans.
