Abstract
In the field of EFL the present topic which is under the title of THE EFFECT
OF AUDIO VISUAL AIDS TO ENHENCE STUDENTNS LISTENIG SKIL
in oral classes ,this research is disigned toknow how long these technological
tools are useful for enhecing and developing learners listening capacities ;and
according to the data analysis we have arrived that hypothesis are right
comparing with results ,and we can say that the hypoyhesis are cridible and
valable when they agreed with the informants answers , therfore we can say that
audio visual aids are useful for developing learners listening skill in oral
courses .
INTRODUCTION
Language as a tool and a system used by paeple to communicate between each
others by the use of :sounds, gestures, symbles, and words to express their
feelings ,thoughts,and ideas

As an international language English kowns a various deal in the world, and its

used as a medium of information, science, technology, culture and education, etc

The teaching of English includes four skills, namely ;listenig, speaking, reading

and writing, and the most important is listening skil ,which is a vital mental and
physical activity by which people can hear and understand

And by the daily development of technology ,and thnks to the great role that
technology is playing ,teachers started assisting these toole in teaching and
specially in oral courses by the use of audio visual aids that help stuents to
develop their capacities and motivate them to study in a medern envirenment

Problem statement
The questions that can be asked are :

How may audio visual aids be used to develop students listening skillin oral
courses ?

How long these aids are useful for enhencing learners listening copetancy ?

What are the main technological tools that must be used in oral claasses ?

Hypothesis
It may provide students with a real coversations from native speakers.

It may develop the ability to listen and understand in the same task.

It may facilitate the understanding by the use of realia techniques throught audio
visual tools which make students more interested .
Objectives and aims of research
The aim behind this research is discovering how long audio visual tools are
effective indeveloping learners capacities.

Knowig the main tools are used in oral classes fordeveloping learners capacities.

Background and significance

According to Anzak 2011 the term audio visual materials is commenly used to
refer to those instructional materials that may be used to convey meaning
without complete dependence upon verbal symbols or language.

Some of the audio visual materials like the motion pictures require the use of
equipment to release their latent value.

There are different ways of classifying audio visual materials as listed By

(Fayemi TA)togother with the related equipment for putting them to work in
classroom include ;

Realia insocial and physical environment .

Pictural and graphic aids.

Cenematographics.

Research design and methods

The process of data collection is based on a written questionnaire given to the
informants ;and the questions open and closed (direct and indirect )

The case study :the second year English Students in University Center of Naama

Oral class room 14.

Data collection
the case study is ;second year english University Center of Naama

the research instrument is : a given questionnaire

These information are going to be analized in both quentitatively and

qualitatively.

Data Analysis :
Quantitative data analysis
For the first part which asks for demographical questions, it has been found that
answers are in different genders 40% males and 60% are females ;their ages are
summarized in the following graph :

23-25 21-23 20-21

10%

35%

55%

Adrawing graph showing the percentage of the age variation of informants

disagree
agree

A drawing graph represents the distinction between informants who

agee and disagree with the use of audio visual aids in oreal classes.

Qualitative data analysis :

The item 04,the majority of informants stated that the suitable kind of
technology is that used by teachers are datashow and computers .

Few of them agree that smart phones are used by teachers.

Item ; of the informants agree that they are facing difficulties in listening and
hearing weel to understand native speakers while using videos.

Few of them face problem in taking notes while showing videos.

Item 10 ;in the last open question all the informants agreed that the atmospher of
class while using audio visual aids is a modern method and give the chance for
all the students to participate during oral courses.
Conclusion :
According to the data analysis and compared with the hypothesis we can arrived
and conclude that audio visual materials play a great role for enhencing students
listening capacities and we can not neglect that since they give the apportunity
for all the mumbers in oal classes ; and they provide them with a modern
techniques and methods ;and more then that audio visual materials make the
learner depend on his oun capacities .
