at around 20:30 and the identities of the

to hospital for further medical treatment.

The motive behind this incident is not

The Roads Agency Limpopo (RAL) is reaping the benefits of its resourceful association with
the mining Industry and proudly spoke about this at the Mining Indaba in Cape Town this
week.
“On 16 February, RAL has planned to engage with several mines in Sekhukhune area relating
to specific area-based roads,” says Maselaganye Matji, the Agency’s Chief Executive Officer.
RAL is trying to create partnerships with the private sector relevant or benefiting from the
Limpopo Provincial road infrastructure network to help augment its constrained budgetary and
financial resources.
Mines, together with agricultural and tourism sectors, have been identified as critical stake-
holders to the business of RAL as they rely on the roads built and maintained by RAL for the
success of their businesses.
The mining sector, particularly, has been the flagship of this approach. RAL has, amongst
others, partnered with Marula Platinum, Exxaro, De Beers and Anglo Platinum for projects in
Limpopo.
“This is RAL’s continued effort to ensure that we join hands in improving the Limpopo road
infrastructure. R100 million is the amount targeted for the current financial year.”
The provincial roads provide a feeder role to the mines as they use these roads to transport
their raw materials and products. Since adopting this strategic partnership approach, RAL has
raised more than R382 million and continues to secure more partnerships.

building on 1 February 2018.
The move to this state of the art, newly constructed and purpose built building
underlines the dealership’s belief in the growth and development of the area.
