Welcome to the SM GameFest!

Introduction

In partnership with TNC, SM Cyberzone has announced a new league for aspiring Dota 2 and Mobile
Legends players in the Philippines. With a prize pool and all will be held at SM City North EDSA.

Photographic and Other form of Media Rights

By participating in the event, all players and other team members e.g. (coach, managers) grant TNC Events
Team the right to use any photos, video and audio materials on their website or for any other promotional
purpose.

Equipment

Computer units will be provided at the venue to be used for the tournament. All participants are allowed to
bring their own equipment e.g. (keyboards, mice, mouse pad, In-Ear headphones, PS2->USB adapters if
needed). The machines installed in the venue can support PS2/USB but we recommend bringing USB
capable devices only.

Event Staff/Marshals

Marshals (or Event Staff) are the official representatives of the TNC Events Team during the event. These
individuals are in-charge to represent the league’s and tournament’s interests. Instructions and requests by
the marshals at the event needs to be adhered to at all times during the event. If any situation arises during
the event, the marshals responsible should be contacted immediately. Admins may make decisions that
differ from the rulebook to preserve fair play and sportsmanship.

Waiver of Liability

By participating in this event, all participants must be aware that TNC Events Team and SM will not be liable
for any injury that will occur during their stay at the venue.

Player Behavior
Since your team will be competing in the culminating of the SM Cyberzone GameFest, it is
imperative that all players and staff are at their best behavior. We are requesting all participants
to behave in a manner that will reflect positivity in the Philippine esports industry. Any misbehavior
towards marshals, fellow participants, sponsors, media or any other individual that the participants
come in contact with during the event may be penalized with penalty points, and in severe cases
disqualification of a player, or an entire team at the tournament officials’ discretion.
During the entire event any consumption of drugs and/or alcohol is strictly forbidden. We reserve
the right to eject teams from the tournament in case these are violated.
Please keep in mind that we are promoting a positive image of esports in our country.
Smoking and eating in the booths are strictly forbidden, but certain bottled beverages can be
approved.
All players are required to be available for interviews prior and after matches. (If applicable)
All players must stay at the designated holding area if not in a match.

Stage Rules
Only players and the staff of TNC and SM are allowed on stage.

Attire

All participating teams must comply with the dress code. We are strict with the attire of each team
as it will reflect on the image of esports in the country. Please show up in the venue in team uniform
(shirt) and in smart casual attire, no wearing of sandos and slippers. Players wearing slippers or
sandos will not be permitted to play in the tournament.

Registration (Online)
As the registration period starts, SM Cyberzone will post on their Facebook page about the
registration thread. 16 teams will be accommodated for online registration and the cut-off period
will be on February 25, 2018, Sunday at 6:00pm.

Registration (On-site)
As the mall opens at 10:00am, the head marshal from TNC Events Team will be at the registration
booth and will provide the registration forms for the teams who wants to participate at the event.
16 teams will be accommodated for on-site registration and it’s a first come, first serve basis.
Mobile Legends
Rules and Regulations

I. Player Requirements:

1.1 Players below the age of 18 are required to acquire parent's consent to participate.
1.2 Players are not allowed to join more than 1 team.
1.3 Players must be available for all tournament dates.
1.4 The act of registering for this tournament implies full acceptance of all terms, conditions, rules
and regulations stated, in its entirety.

II. Team Requirement

2.1 Team captains are expected to have Discord installed on their mobile device or have access to
it on other devices.
2.2 A team must consist of the following members:
 5 main players (Required)
 1 reserved player (Optional)
 1 manager (Optional)
2.3 Team ownership is determined by the leader/captain appointed by the team during registration.
2.4 Teams are prohibited to replace any of the registered players including the reserved player)
throughout the event.
2.5 By registering, Teams acknowledge that all usage of photos, videos, and any form of recording
during the tournament have been given legal consent by the players for media and marketing
purposes.

III. Team Names, Team Tags, and Player Names

3.1 Team Names may include upper-case letters, lower-case letters, numbers 0-9, underscores,
or single spaces between words only. Team Names must not exceed 12 characters including
spaces.
3.2 Teams will be permitted 1 team name tag in front of each player’s Hero Name. These tags
must be upper-case letters or numbers 0-9 only. Team tags must not exceed 4 characters.
Example : MyA.ABC
3.3 Heroes Names may include upper-case letters, lower-case letters, numbers 0-9, underscores,
or single spaces between words only. Player Names must not exceed 12 characters including
spaces. No additional special characters will be allowed for team names, player Names, or
tags. Player Names and Team Names may not contain: vulgarities or obscenities; MLBB hero
derivatives or other similar character names; or derivatives of products or services that may
create confusion.
3.4 All Team Tags, Team Names, and Player Names must be approved by organiser officials in
advance of use in play.
3.5 Name changes are not allowed except under certain extenuating circumstances, but must be
approved by organiser officials prior to use in an organiser game.
3.6 Organizer officials have the ability to deny a team name if it does not reflect the professional
standards sought by the organiser and the team will be required to change their name.
IV. Sponsorship

4.1 Teams are allowed to acquire sponsors throughout the league. Sponsorship acquisition is
unrestricted. However, sponsors who fall under the ensuing limited categories are strictly
prohibited. The organizer officials have the ability to update the category list at any time. The
following is a nonexclusive list of limited sponsors:
4.2 Gambling Websites: defined as any website that aids or abets the wagering of funds on a
sport/e-sport event and/or allows for the wagering of funds in casino games including poker.
4.3 Non-“over-the-counter” drugs
4.4 Account sharing/skin selling websites
4.5 Firearms, handguns, or ammunition providers
4.6 Websites displaying or related to pornographic imagery or products
4.7 Products or services from direct competitors
4.8 Tobacco products

V. Tournament Schedules and Rules

5.1 Tournament schedule will be available onsite


5.2 32 teams will be accommodated to participate in the event. 16 teams will come from the online
registration while 16 teams will be from on-site registration.
5.3 Matches will proceed as indicated in the Bracket Schedule unless live streamed which is
coordinated by Marshal. Matches that are scheduled to be livestreamed and casted cannot
start without the instructions of the Marshal. Otherwise, points will not be counted.
5.4 Teams are expected to be in the game stage and in-game lobby at the designated time. There
is a maximum 10-minute waiting period.
5.5 If one team is not ready at the designated time, their opponent is awarded a default win by
contacting an admin (after the 10-minute waiting period) and having him check the lobby.
5.6 Teams may not remake matches.
5.7 All results must be reported to the respective admins right after the match. The winning Team's
captain is required to submit results to the admin.

*Any disputes regardless match scores should be reported immediately to the admin 10 minutes
after the disputed score has been submitted.

VI. General Conduct

6.1 Players will conduct themselves with sportsmanship and in a reasonable manner, maintaining
a friendly and polite demeanor to spectators, competitors, members of the press, tournament
staff, and to other participants of the event.
6.2 Players will refrain from the use of vulgar language during the entire competition. All rules of
conduct also apply to chatting through the game console.
6.3 Players are expected to compete in a professional manner. Throwing a match, halting play
without cause, or showing a flagrant lack of effort will be construed as a violation of player
conduct, and will result in match penalties, forfeit and disqualification from the tournament.
6.4 The organizer has the right to apply penalties, disqualify and dismiss any registered player from
the tournament, at their discretion, at any stage of the tournament, for any reason, with no prior
warning to the players.
*Cheating doesn't need to be successful to qualify as a violation. Conspiring to cheat is already a
violation and will lead to an automatic disqualification for all conspirators. Examples of cheating
include, but aren't limited to:

 Ghosting
 Account Sharing
 Piloting

VII. In-Game Rules

7.1 The application used is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Developer: Moonton)
7.2 The game mode used is Custom Game: Draft Mode.
7.3 The first team to destroy the opposing team’s Base wins one (1) point.
7.4 If any player disconnects during a match, the game continues. The disconnected players are
required to reconnect as soon as possible.
7.5 In the case of a server crash, the game can be continued from newly draft.
7.6 Team on the upper bracket will create a lobby/game.

VIII. Penalties

8.1 Upon discovery of any Team Member committing any violations of the rules listed above, the
officials may, without limitation of its authority under Section 6.4, issue the following penalties.

IX. Admin Rights

9.1 Admin may over rule all rules based on the situation. Admin decision is final after the appeal
process.
