Guidelines:

Group Written Assignment (Group: 20%)

Write an essay on the following topic:

*Human Capital Management and Supply Chain”.

The essay should be written in clear academic style (APA), with proper structure and language. In general, students
can include Introduction, background of the organization’s businesses, cite some relevant theories, highlight current
and important issues related to HCM, analyze problems and challenges, provide recommendations, conclusion and
references.

The length should be in between 6,000 - 7,500 words excluding abstract, table of content, references and appendixes.
The assignment will be evaluated based on the Content Assignment Rubric

Each team is required to perceive itself as a group of consultant for an organization. Provide some background of the
organization’s businesses, analyze and highlight some important management or HRM issues arise. Apply knowledge,
concepts and theories you have learned in your workplace and in HCM’s classes in order to recommend

Each group is required to identify a HRM or Management journal article from a reputable sources (i.e. Science Direct,
Emerald and Pro Quest) and to submit them to the lecturer and other groups before the presentation. During the
presentation session, each group is required to briefly summarize (i.e. issues, problems, respondents, theories,
hypotheses), critique the case/issue, present the key findings in class and give their recommendations and action plans
to solve the problems. You also can justify your recommendations by referring to other studies that have been conducted
by other researchers (i.e. other case studies and journal articles)

The presenting group may use power point, videos, handouts, and/or any other presentation materials to facilitate the
presentation and understanding of the topics. They must encourage other students in the class to participate in a
dynamic discussion and debate on the topic.

Each group will be given 30 – 40 minutes for each presentation, followed by question-and-answer session. In addition,
the presenter must turn in a hard copy of the presentation materials. The presenting group will be evaluated based on
the Presentation Rubric

Mid-Term Test (20%) and Final Examination (40%)

Mid- Term Test : In week 6 or 7, 2017 (1 hour)

Final Examination : On Jan, 2018 (2 hours)
