1 Introduction
1.1 About DragonFace
Firmware modification tools (DragonFace) is an efficient firmware modifications - powerful, WYSIWYG, it

is easy to operate tool. As long as the customer is used to modify the OEM manufacturers in a release
firmware needs, such as firmware version, model number, company name, and so on. Tools can also
modify the boot logo, boot animation and so on. In addition to these information can be edited, you can
also copy preinstalled APK, desktop presets and other functions from the existing equipment.
DragonFace according to user needs, modify the parameters of the firmware package, and allowed to
adapt their machines. Simple and easy to operate.
1.2 tools to adapt to the environment
Operating system WindowXP, Vista (32-Bit, 64), Win7 (32-bit, 64-bit)
PC Requirements 1, C disk space left over at least 5G

3, more than 1G memory requirements
PC-side driver installation adb drivers need to be installed before the system can support clone function
Firmware version 1.5 or more, use boot2.0 signature way, or need to patch
1.3 ADB drivers installed
Tools need to install ADB to support the system cloning feature, ADB driver installation steps are as
follows:

1) After the device-side USB connection with PC, if you do not go by before the USB drive will pop up
the following screen:
2) Select Install from a list or only Location:

3) Click Next, and then click on the "Browse" button, navigate to the Tools installation path

4) and then continue to click Next to complete the driver installation ADB
2 Use Process
1) First make the original firmware package, and then burned into the small machine.
2) Wait a small machine fully boot is completed, then the operation according to the needs of subtotals,
such as pre-installed APK, desktop layout, system settings, Web browser's default home page
bookmarks and so on.
3) Subtotal end operation to be completed, with the USB connection on the PC, and open the small end
of the USB debugging machine, then you can open DragonFace firmware modification tool. Click on the
top left corner of the tool "firmware" button, and then select Step 1) firmware package, the normal
loading screen as follows:

4) to be the tool is loaded, the user can according to their own needs to modify the firmware to support
modification of functional specifications are as follows:

5) Determine After modification, To save modify the information, click on the "export operation 'button to
generate a backup file.
6) Click the bottom right corner of the "Save" button to generate a new firmware.

3 Detailed features
3.1 Basic functions
3.1.1 Import Firmware
1) Click on the top left corner "firmware" button;
2) Select the img file to be imported;

Click the "Open" button;
3.1.2 Export operation content
Users need to batch modify img file, you can export the contents of the operating and backup
operations.
1) Confirm modified after clicking "Export Operations Content";
2) Select the storage path;
3) Enter the file name;

4) Press the "Open" to generate the backup file (a file directory and file a law);

3.1.3 import content

1) Import need to modify the firmware;
2) Click the "import content" button;
3) Select the path had a good backup file;
4) Select the law file;
5) Click the "Open" button.
3.1.4 Save the file

1) confirm the modification is completed, click on the bottom right corner of the "Save" button; 2) Select
the save path;

3.2 Basic Settings
Enter the basic settings interface: 1) Import firmware file; 2) Click the "Basic Settings" button;

3.2.1 System Information
According to the needs of users:

1 Set the firmware version number;
2 Set Model;
3 Set the company name;
4 set version information.
3.2.2 System Settings clone
Cloning device will end all settings, including pre-installed APK, desktop layout, system settings, etc. can
be copied to the firmware, cloning feature requires firmware support, when a user opens the firmware
does not support cloning will prompt:

3.4 Built APK
Users can not uninstall pre-installed APK, can remove or replace system built APK, as lacher.APK2.6.1
Into the user interface:

3.4.1 remove the built APK
1) Right-selected to be deleted APK;
2) Select "Del APK";
3) pop-up dialog box, select "Yes"
3.4.2 Adding Built APK

1) Right APK list area;
2) pop-up "Add APK", select;
3) Select the path you need to add APK file and click "Open"
3.4.3 preinstalled APK Description
1, what is the built APK, custom APK
Built APK, that is installed in the system partition APK, users can not be deleted. By "adding built-3.4.2
APK" way to add a built APK.
Custom APK, is installed in the data partition APK, users can manually delete. Direct manual installation
on a small machine, and then you can clone tool system.
2, how preloaded disposable APK

Disposable APK, namely the pre-restore factory settings (or recover recovery) when the APK will not
have. Suitable for use as DragonFire test APK preinstalled. Use disposable approach can be used after
APK, click restore factory settings, the APK is not in existence.
Preloaded disposable APK APK only use the built-in way, way short answer, the APK file name to add
on

APK, then
Firmware burn into the small machine installation will take effect when, while in recovery or restore
factory settings when such APK will be deleted.
3, not all of the APK can be built-
Not all of the APK can be built-in, this and the APK itself. Mainly because of APK some with lib library,
no automatic recognition lib inventory put path.
4, large APK preinstalled applications
, GPS and other large game APK application pre-installed customized APK recommended ways to avoid
system partition space is not enough.
With a separate packet APK, require separate packets in my SD card, you can configure how the demo
files, packets into separate firmware packages, firmware programming into the little machine, all the
demo files are placed on the SD card, and so independent packets will also be placed in Cary. But not
all games are available with separate packets in this way preloaded, and APK itself related to APK must
be custom built for the independent data package in the folder.
3.5 Advanced settings
Some users may want to directly edit the content inside the system, boot, bootloader partition, tools to
extract all contents to: \fsop\system, \fsop\bootfs, \fsop\lhsfile, and temp down. Users can directly edit
the contents, when editing is finished, click on the Save button to rebuild the image file of the tool, and
the formation of new firmware.

3.5.2 G-Sensor orientation parameter correction

1, the firmware on the firmware package packet size can not exceed the size limit generation 2G.
2, on tool storage path
Tool use adb, so the tool storage path in the file name can not avoid using spaces, otherwise it will lead
to adb command does not run correctly.
