THE FAMILY AS THE BASIS OF EDUCATION

We know that the family is the pillar of society, but it is also correct to
say that it is the first school for children, because it is the place where
they begin to give learning and mental evolution to children from a very
young age before reaching the school, who already come with bases
which have developed in the family environment, some of them more
successful than others; and it is at the moment when the little kid arrives
at an institution that a clash occurs and for certain case is rather strong.
At this point, adaptation and accommodation starts processing, the child
no longer sees their teachers like their parents, but now he/she begins
to share with the teachers and they should be given the task of
investigating that prior knowledge that he/she has and according to the
family environment, which has left its mark on them in such a way that it
facilitates or hinders the learning process.

Teachers must seek strategies, to strengthen what they already bring


from home, which would also be called previous knowledge and provide
new knowledge that can build up knowledge for them. When there is a
good atmosphere and there is little interest, on the part of parents in
relation to their children's learning what happens is that coming learning
atrophies from the beginning and therefore it becomes more difficult to
the body of all the process of teaching.

The reason why children feel less loved, with manifestations of


depression, sadness, little interest in what occurs in the classroom, lack
of interaction with the other students and solation, is due to the formation
basis in the family environment.
You must be really careful with what is taught at home because being
the first knowledge the child tends to see it as absolute truth and
understands that all behaviors, or all that is in this environment is true
and absolute, which makes more difficult the task of teachers because
it will break all patterns that are brought and transform ways of thinking
that they have been given by parents some time ago. What is being
sought is for the parents to work in team with teachers, and the parents
train the children with values and knowledge that provide them each day
more positive things, and avoid at the time they join the school the
development of wrong attitudes from affective field, which ends up
affecting their cognitive part. In addition, it is appropriate to talk about
the extreme where parents believe that their children's education
process is a responsibility of the educators and not a shared one.

When parents assigned responsibility to educators, to evade the


responsibility that corresponds to them is really wrong, as the ideal is
that the school is a complement in family and that the school only
reinforces what they already had and not be the entire process of
upbringing and educating children, so that in this way the children do not
feel more support at school than in their own home.

It is there, where there are cases in which the students feel more
supported by their teachers than by their own parents, where educators
are counselors, best friends and even children themselves see their
teachers as their parents

The call of this writing is to parents, who increasingly, are aware of the
vital thing to their children that is love, guaranteeing in this way that the
processes of teaching given in the school is successful, and on the other
hand the aim also is to motivate teachers with vocation of service and
love for the profession to not stop at their work, who every day strive to
be there in every moment with students, who despite having a
hierarchical role do not assume differences and that the student see
them as close, familiar to the point that they can share their life that sees
daily in his role of teacher.

Remember the education is successful, hand in hand with home


formation, the disposition of the parents, to be attentive to their children
and the teachers to reinforce what their pupils already bring home.
