Personal Language History

I am a native English speaker originally from Manchester, England. I have lived in

Finland, Malaysia, Canada, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and I am currently
living in Vienna, Austria. At an early age in my life I was exposed to different
languages due to my parents having friends from non English speaking countries. I
have a basic knowledge of Italian, Spanish and French, and I am intermediate speaker
of German.

Motivation to do CLIL

My motivation to do CLIL is to improve my teaching methods which in turn will

have a positive result in my classes. The course also offers me the chance to exchange
ideas and experiences with my fellow professionals.

Experiences so far

The CLIL course has been interesting so far. I especially enjoyed Keith's seminars
which found to be very informative and useful. Jenny and Harry have been very
helpful in regard of how to execute ideas in the classroom, and I have implemented
some of these ideas.

The course covers similar topics and methods that I studied when I undertook my
Cambridge University teaching course, and so it has been useful to refresh my
knowledge in these fields.
