Summary of Duties
Provides leadership for the Griffin RESA Professional Learning program. Plans, develops, coordinates
and implements the RESA professional development program including, but not limited to, education
leadership personnel, teaching and service personnel, paraprofessional staff, school bus drivers, school
board members, substitute teacher training and other staff as requested. Supports and supervises Student
Services Division personnel, including audiologists, teacher of the Vision Impaired, DHH, and
Orientation and Mobility Services in service to participating systems. Serves on the Leadership Team and
collaborates with other RESA staff to develop the RESA Continuous Improvement Plan. Teaches
professional learning classes and provides training in areas of specialization. This position will require
coordination with the agency’s professional development partners including the Georgia Department of
Education (GDOE), colleges, universities, and other organizations.

Activities:
Required Valid Georgia leadership certificate.
Certification:
Required Master’s Degree
Education:
Required Minimum of three (3) years leadership experience at the school and/or system
Experience: level.
Broad base of curriculum knowledge and experience.
Experience in planning for and implementing professional learning for school
improvement.
Advanced proficiency in the application of educational technology.
Other Written, oral and presentation skills required.
Demonstrated skills in leadership, organization, fiscal management, strategic
planning and technology.
Strong human relationship skills.
