SunRidge School - Sebastopol, CA
Choir Director – 2015 – Present
I teach choir to grades 5-8 at this Waldorf charter school in Sebastopol, CA. Students
learn music theory and healthy vocal technique while singing traditional and contemporary
repertoire. Songs are chosen to connect both to the grades’ core curricula and to the
students’ lives outside the classroom. Learning through song, our choir curriculum is
based upon musical literacy, expression, solfège, intonation, and singing in harmonies and
rounds.

Music Director and Farm Field Educator – Summer 2015
As an educator in this farm-based summer program, I led children in musical
agricultural and creative activities in many areas of Hawthorne Valley’s diverse school
and biodynamic farm. We celebrated our lifestyle with daily songs and circle gatherings,
which I coordinated as music director.
La Ferme Musicale - Palau-del-Vidre, France
Music and Farm Educator – 2015
La Ferme Musicale is a pedagogical center for music and gardening in the Pyrénées of
southern France. Students received lessons in general music and percussion while
engaging in an awareness of fresh and nourishing foods. Children learned instrumental
techniques, solfège, and repertoire from Africa and the Americas. The curriculum
connected music and nature by singing about environmental conservation and playing
shekeres made from the farm’s gourde vegetables.
The American Boychoir School - Princeton, NJ
Director of the Apprentice Program – 2012-2013
I conducted and directed an ensemble of boys from the greater-Princeton area,
grades 3-6. This choir was auditioned based upon potential to join the American
Boychoir School. I instructed musical and vocal skills in the boychoir tradition of
intensive ensemble training. We studied solfège, sight reading, and ear training while
preparing repertoire for seasonal concerts
