In His Own Time

God uses slow growing measures on many of his blooming servants. Todd and Charly are two
individuals to experience that “God is in no hurry to get you no-where”.
Todd graduated from our New Life Program over two years ago, only to make choices that brought
him back to SRM, seeking a second chance for recovery. Todd says that he had cheated himself the
first time by not fully applying the lessons of the NLP. He reentered the program, and through hard
work and alot of struggles, he began to mature. Todd says, “…my relationship with God was
coming together—knowing He is there every day, not just when things are wrong. The feeling and
confidence I now have is so different. I know things are not perfect. I will fail at times, but through
HIS mercy, God will always give me a fresh start. I have to remember, daily, that God is, and I am
not.”

In 2007, Charly came to the NLP a very angry man. A friend brought Charly to the mission and
thus began a three year journey in discovering the “promise for a bright future”. “I realized that for
me to overcome my explosive behavior I would have to turn my life over to God. There were times
that I wanted to quit! If it weren’t for my good friend, and NLP graduate, Fred Porter, I would have
quit. I have learned alot of helpful things through the NLP, including controlling my temper and
communicating better with people. I have also learned to trust God, and others, more than ever
before.”
Congratulations to Todd Pooler and Charly White for their completion of the New Life
